בְּצֵ֣את יִ֭שְׂרָאֵל מִמִּצְרָ֑יִם בֵּ֥ית יַ֝עֲקֹ֗ב מֵעַ֥ם לֹעֵֽז׃
KJVWhen Israel went out of Egypt, the house of Jacob from a people of strange language;

הָיְתָ֣ה יְ֭הוּדָה לְקָדְשׁ֑וֹ יִ֝שְׂרָאֵ֗ל מַמְשְׁלוֹתָֽיו׃

הַיָּ֣ם רָ֭אָה וַיָּנֹ֑ס הַיַּרְדֵּ֗֝ן יִסֹּ֥ב לְאָחֽוֹר׃
KJVThe sea saw it, and fled: Jordan was driven back.
The sea looked and fled; Jordan turned back.

הֶהָרִ֣ים רָ֭קְדוּ כְאֵילִ֑ים גְּ֝בָע֗וֹת כִּבְנֵי צֹֽאן׃
KJVThe mountains skipped like rams, and the little hills like lambs.

מַה לְּךָ֣ הַ֭יָּם כִּ֣י תָנ֑וּס הַ֝יַּרְדֵּ֗ן תִּסֹּ֥ב לְאָחֽוֹר׃
KJVWhat ailed thee, O thou sea, that thou fleddest? thou Jordan, that thou wast driven back?
What ails you, O sea, that you flee? O Jordan, that you turn back?

הֶהָרִ֣ים תִּ֭רְקְדוּ כְאֵילִ֑ים גְּ֝בָע֗וֹת כִּבְנֵי צֹֽאן׃
KJVYe mountains, that ye skipped like rams; and ye little hills, like lambs?
O mountains, why do you skip like rams? O hills, like lambs?

מִלִּפְנֵ֣י אָ֭דוֹן ח֣וּלִי אָ֑רֶץ מִ֝לִּפְנֵ֗י אֱל֣וֹהַ יַעֲקֹֽב׃
KJVTremble, thou earth, at the presence of the Lord, at the presence of the God of Jacob;
Tremble, O earth, at the presence of the Lord, at the presence of the God of Jacob,

הַהֹפְכִ֣י הַצּ֣וּר אֲגַם מָ֑יִם חַ֝לָּמִ֗ישׁ לְמַעְיְנוֹ מָֽיִם׃
