הַ֥לְלוּ יָ֨הּ ׀ כִּי ט֣וֹב זַמְּרָ֣ה אֱלֹהֵ֑ינוּ כִּֽי נָעִ֥ים נָ֝אוָ֗ה תְּהִלָּֽה׃

KJVPraise ye the LORD: for it is good to sing praises unto our God; for it is pleasant; and praise is comely.

Praise the LORD! For it is good to sing praises to our God; for it is pleasant, and a song of praise is fitting.

בּוֹנֵ֣ה יְ֭רוּשָׁלַ͏ִם יְהוָ֑ה נִדְחֵ֥י יִ֝שְׂרָאֵ֗ל יְכַנֵּֽס׃

KJVThe LORD doth build up Jerusalem: he gathereth together the outcasts of Israel.

The LORD builds up Jerusalem; he gathers the outcasts of Israel.

הָ֭רֹפֵא לִשְׁבוּרֵ֣י לֵ֑ב וּ֝מְחַבֵּ֗שׁ לְעַצְּבוֹתָֽם׃

KJVHe healeth the broken in heart, and bindeth up their wounds.

He heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds.

מוֹנֶ֥ה מִסְפָּ֗ר לַכּ֫וֹכָ֥בִים לְכֻלָּ֥ם שֵׁמ֗וֹת יִקְרָֽא׃

KJVHe telleth the number of the stars; he calleth them all by their names.

He determines the number of the stars; he gives to all of them their names.

גָּד֣וֹל אֲדוֹנֵ֣ינוּ וְרַב כֹּ֑חַ לִ֝תְבוּנָת֗וֹ אֵ֣ין מִסְפָּֽר׃

KJVGreat is our Lord, and of great power: his understanding is infinite.

Great is our Lord, and abundant in power; his understanding is beyond measure.

מְעוֹדֵ֣ד יְ֭הוָה עֲנָוִ֑ים מַשְׁפִּ֖יל רְשָׁעִ֣ים עֲדֵי אָֽרֶץ׃

KJVThe LORD lifteth up the meek: he casteth the wicked down to the ground.

The LORD lifts up the humble; he casts the wicked to the ground.

עֱנ֥וּ לַ֭יהוָה בְּתוֹדָ֑ה זַמְּר֥וּ לֵ֝אלֹהֵ֗ינוּ בְּכִנּֽוֹר׃

KJVSing unto the LORD with thanksgiving; sing praise upon the harp unto our God:

Sing to the LORD with thanksgiving; make melody to our God on the lyre!

הַֽמְכַסֶּ֬ה שָׁמַ֨יִם ׀ בְּעָבִ֗ים הַמֵּכִ֣ין לָאָ֣רֶץ מָטָ֑ר הַמַּצְמִ֥יחַ הָ֝רִ֗ים חָצִֽיר׃

KJVWho covereth the heaven with clouds, who prepareth rain for the earth, who maketh grass to grow upon the mountains.

He covers the heavens with clouds; he prepares rain for the earth; he makes grass grow on the hills.

נוֹתֵ֣ן לִבְהֵמָ֣ה לַחְמָ֑הּ לִבְנֵ֥י עֹ֝רֵ֗ב אֲשֶׁ֣ר יִקְרָֽאוּ׃

KJVHe giveth to the beast his food, and to the young ravens which cry.

He gives to the beasts their food, and to the young ravens that cry.

לֹ֤א בִגְבוּרַ֣ת הַסּ֣וּס יֶחְפָּ֑ץ לֹ֥א בְ֝שׁוֹקֵ֗י הָאִ֥ישׁ יִרְצֶֽה׃

KJVHe delighteth not in the strength of the horse: he taketh not pleasure in the legs of a man.

His delight is not in the strength of the horse, nor his pleasure in the legs of a man,

רוֹצֶ֣ה יְ֭הוָה אֶת יְרֵאָ֑יו אֶ֝ת הַמְיַחֲלִ֗ים לְחַסְדּֽוֹ׃

KJVThe LORD taketh pleasure in them that fear him, in those that hope in his mercy.

but the LORD takes pleasure in those who fear him, in those who hope in his steadfast love.

שַׁבְּחִ֣י יְ֭רוּשָׁלַ͏ִם אֶת יְהוָ֑ה הַ֝לְלִ֗י אֱלֹהַ֥יִךְ צִיּֽוֹן׃

KJVPraise the LORD, O Jerusalem; praise thy God, O Zion.

Praise the LORD, O Jerusalem! Praise your God, O Zion!

כִּֽי חִזַּ֣ק בְּרִיחֵ֣י שְׁעָרָ֑יִךְ בֵּרַ֥ךְ בָּ֝נַ֗יִךְ בְּקִרְבֵּֽךְ׃

KJVFor he hath strengthened the bars of thy gates; he hath blessed thy children within thee.

For he strengthens the bars of your gates; he blesses your children within you.

הַשָּׂ֣ם גְּ֭בוּלֵךְ שָׁל֑וֹם חֵ֥לֶב חִ֝טִּ֗ים יַשְׂבִּיעֵֽךְ׃

KJVHe maketh peace in thy borders, and filleth thee with the finest of the wheat.

He makes peace in your borders; he fills you with the finest of the wheat.

הַשֹּׁלֵ֣חַ אִ֭מְרָת֑וֹ אָ֗רֶץ עַד מְהֵרָ֥ה יָר֗וּץ דְּבָרֽוֹ׃

KJVHe sendeth forth his commandment upon earth: his word runneth very swiftly.

He sends out his command to the earth; his word runs swiftly.

הַנֹּ֣תֵן שֶׁ֭לֶג כַּצָּ֑מֶר כְּ֝פ֗וֹר כָּאֵ֥פֶר יְפַזֵּֽר׃

KJVHe giveth snow like wool: he scattereth the hoarfrost like ashes.

He gives snow like wool; he scatters frost like ashes.

17

מַשְׁלִ֣יךְ קַ֭רְחוֹ כְּפִתִּ֑ים לִ֝פְנֵ֗י קָרָת֥וֹ מִ֣י יַעֲמֹֽד׃

KJVHe casteth forth his ice like morsels: who can stand before his cold?

He hurls down his crystals of ice like crumbs; who can stand before his cold?

18

יִשְׁלַ֣ח דְּ֭בָר֣וֹ וְיַמְסֵ֑ם יַשֵּׁ֥ב ר֝וּח֗וֹ יִזְּלוּ מָֽיִם׃

KJVHe sendeth out his word, and melteth them: he causeth his wind to blow, and the waters flow.

He sends out his word, and melts them; he makes his wind blow and the waters flow.

19

מַגִּ֣יד דְּבָרָ֣יו לְיַעֲקֹ֑ב חֻקָּ֥יו וּ֝מִשְׁפָּטָ֗יו לְיִשְׂרָאֵֽל׃

KJVHe sheweth his word unto Jacob, his statutes and his judgments unto Israel.

He declares his word to Jacob, his statutes and rules to Israel.

20

לֹ֤א עָשָׂ֣ה כֵ֭ן לְכָל גּ֑וֹי וּמִשְׁפָּטִ֥ים בַּל יְדָע֗וּם הַ֝לְלוּ יָֽהּ׃

KJVHe hath not dealt so with any nation: and as for his judgments, they have not known them. Praise ye the LORD.

He has not dealt thus with any other nation; they do not know his rules. Praise the LORD!
