מִזְמ֖וֹר לְדָוִ֣ד לְהַזְכִּֽיר׃
KJVA Psalm of David, to bring to remembrance.
A Psalm of David, for the memorial offering.

יְהוָ֗ה אַל בְּקֶ֣צְפְּךָ֣ תוֹכִיחֵ֑נִי וּ֝בַחֲמָתְךָ֗ תְיַסְּרֵֽנִי׃
KJVO LORD, rebuke me not in thy wrath: neither chasten me in thy hot displeasure.
O LORD, rebuke me not in your anger, nor discipline me in your wrath!

כִּ֤י חִצֶּ֥יךָ נִחֲתוּ בִ֑י וַתִּנְחַ֖ת עָלַ֣י יָדֶֽךָ׃
KJVFor thine arrows stick fast in me, and thy hand presseth me sore.
For your arrows have sunk into me, and your hand has come down on me.

אֵ֘ין מְתֹ֤ם בִּבְשָׂרִ֗י מִפְּנֵ֣י זַ֭עְמֶךָ אֵין שָׁל֥וֹם בַּעֲצָמַ֗י מִפְּנֵ֣י חַטָּאתִֽי׃
KJVThere is no soundness in my flesh because of thine anger; neither is there any rest in my bones because of my sin.
There is no soundness in my flesh because of your indignation; there is no health in my bones because of my sin.

כִּ֣י עֲ֭וֹנֹתַי עָבְר֣וּ רֹאשִׁ֑י כְּמַשָּׂ֥א כָ֝בֵ֗ד יִכְבְּד֥וּ מִמֶּֽנִּי׃
KJVFor mine iniquities are gone over mine head: as an heavy burden they are too heavy for me.
For my iniquities have gone over my head; like a heavy burden, they are too heavy for me.

הִבְאִ֥ישׁוּ נָמַ֗קּוּ חַ֫בּוּרֹתָ֥י מִפְּנֵ֥י אִוַּלְתִּֽי׃
KJVMy wounds stink and are corrupt because of my foolishness.
My wounds stink and fester because of my foolishness,
7
נַ֭עֲוֵיתִי שַׁחֹתִ֣י עַד מְאֹ֑ד כָּל הַ֝יּ֗וֹם קֹדֵ֥ר הִלָּֽכְתִּי׃
KJVI am troubled; I am bowed down greatly; I go mourning all the day long.
I am utterly bowed down and prostrate; all the day I go about mourning.

כִּ֣י כְ֭סָלַי מָלְא֣וּ נִקְלֶ֑ה וְאֵ֥ין מְ֝תֹ֗ם בִּבְשָׂרִֽי׃
KJVFor my loins are filled with a loathsome disease: and there is no soundness in my flesh.
For my sides are filled with burning, and there is no soundness in my flesh.

נְפוּג֥וֹתִי וְנִדְכֵּ֑יתִי שָׁאַ֥גְתִּי מִ֝נַּהֲמַ֗ת לִבִּֽי׃
KJVI am feeble and sore broken: I have roared by reason of the disquietness of my heart.
I am feeble and crushed; I groan because of the tumult of my heart.

אֲדֹנָ֗י נֶ֥גְדְּךָ כָל תַּאֲוָתִ֑י וְאַנְחָתִ֗י מִמְּךָ֗ לֹ֥א נִסְתָּֽרָה׃
KJVLord, all my desire is before thee; and my groaning is not hid from thee.
O Lord, all my longing is before you; my sighing is not hidden from you.

לִבִּי֮ סְחַרְחַ֪ר עֲזָ֫בַ֥נִי כֹ֭חִי וְא֣וֹר עֵינַ֑י גַּם הֵ֝ם אֵ֣ין אִתִּֽי׃
KJVMy heart panteth, my strength faileth me: as for the light of mine eyes, it also is gone from me.
My heart throbs; my strength fails me, and the light of my eyes — it also has gone from me.

אֹהֲבַ֣י וְרֵעַ֣י מִנֶּ֣גֶד נִגְעִ֑י יַעֲמֹ֗֝דוּ וּקְרוֹבַ֥י מֵרָחֹ֗ק עָמָֽדוּ׃
KJVMy lovers and my friends stand aloof from my sore; and my kinsmen stand afar off.
My friends and companions stand aloof from my plague, and my nearest kin stand far off.

וַיְנַקְשׁ֗וּ מְבַקְשֵׁ֥י נַפְשִׁ֑י וְדֹרְשֵׁ֥י רָ֝עָתִ֗י דִּבְּר֥וּ הַוּ֗וֹת וּמִרְמ֥וֹת כָּל הַיּ֗וֹם יֶהְגּֽוּ׃
KJVThey also that seek after my life lay snares for me: and they that seek my hurt speak mischievous things, and imagine deceits all the day long.
Those who seek my life lay their snares; those who seek my hurt speak of ruin and meditate treachery all day long.

וַאֲנִ֤י כְ֨חֵרֵשׁ ׀ לֹ֣א אֶשְׁמָ֑ע וּכְאִלֵּ֥ם לֹ֝א יִפְתַּ֗ח פִּֽיו׃
KJVBut I, as a deaf man, heard not; and I was as a dumb man that openeth not his mouth.
But I am like a deaf man; I do not hear, like a mute man who does not open his mouth.
15
וָ֭אֱהִי כְּאִ֣ישׁ אֲשֶׁ֣ר לֹא שֹׁמֵ֑עַ וְאֵ֥ין בְּ֝פִ֗יו תּוֹכָחֽוֹת׃
KJVThus I was as a man that heareth not, and in whose mouth are no reproofs.
I have become like a man who does not hear, and in whose mouth are no rebukes.
16
כִּ֣י לְ֭ךָ יְהוָ֣ה הוֹחָ֑לְתִּי אַ֝תָּ֗ה תַעֲנֶ֥ה אֲדֹנָ֗י אֱלֹהָֽי׃
KJVFor in thee, O LORD, do I hope: thou wilt hear, O Lord my God.
For you, O LORD, do I wait; it is you, O Lord my God, who will answer.
17
כִּ֤י אָמַ֗רְתִּי פֶּן יִשְׂמְחוּ לִ֗י בְּמ֥וֹט רַגְלִ֗י עָלַ֗י הִגְדִּֽילוּ׃
KJVFor I said, Hear me, lest otherwise they should rejoice over me: when my foot slippeth, they magnify themselves against me.
For I said: Only let them not rejoice over me, who boast against me when my foot slips!
18
כִּי אֲנִ֣י לְצֶ֣לַע נָכ֑וֹן וּמַכְאוֹבִ֗י נֶגְדִּ֗י תָמִֽיד׃
KJVFor I am ready to halt, and my sorrow is continually before me.
For I am ready to fall, and my pain is ever before me.
19
כִּ֣י עֲ֭וֹנִי אַגִּ֑יד אֶ֝דְאַ֗ג מֵחַטָּאתִֽי׃
KJVFor I will declare mine iniquity; I will be sorry for my sin.
I confess my iniquity; I am sorry for my sin.
20
וְ֭אֹיְבַי חַיִּ֣ים עָצֵ֑מוּ וְרַ֥בּוּ שֹׂ֝נְאַ֗י שָֽׁקֶר׃
KJVBut mine enemies are lively, and they are strong: and they that hate me wrongfully are multiplied.
But my foes are vigorous, they are mighty, and many are those who hate me wrongfully.
21
וּ֭מְשַׁלְּמֵי רָעָ֣ה תַּחַת טוֹבָ֑ה יִ֝שְׂטְנ֗וּנִי תַּ֣חַת רָדְפִֽי טֽוֹב׃
KJVThey also that render evil for good are mine adversaries; because I follow the thing that good is.
Those who render me evil for good accuse me because I follow after good.
22
אַל תַּעַזְבֵ֥נִי יְהוָ֑ה אֱ֝לֹהַ֗י אַל תִּרְחַ֥ק מִמֶּֽנִּי׃
KJVForsake me not, O LORD: O my God, be not far from me.
Do not forsake me, O LORD! O my God, be not far from me!
23
ח֣וּשָׁה לְעֶזְרָ֣תִי אֲדֹנָ֑י תְּ֝שׁוּעָתִֽי׃
KJVMake haste to help me, O Lord my salvation.
Make haste to help me, O Lord, my salvation!
