לִשְׁלֹמֹ֑ה אֱ֭לֹהִים מִשְׁפָּטֶ֣יךָ לְמֶ֣לֶךְ תֵּ֑ן וְצִדְקָתְךָ֗ לְבֶן מֶֽלֶךְ׃

KJVA Psalm for Solomon. Give the king thy judgments, O God, and thy righteousness unto the king's son.

Of Solomon. Give the king your justice, O God, and your righteousness to the royal son!

יָדִ֣ין עַמְּךָ֣ בְצֶ֑דֶק וַ֝עֲנִיֶּ֗יךָ בְמִשְׁפָּֽט׃

KJVHe shall judge thy people with righteousness, and thy poor with judgment.

May he judge your people with righteousness, and your poor with justice!

יִשְׂא֣וּ הָרִ֣ים שָׁל֑וֹם לָ֝עָ֗ם וּגְבָע֥וֹת בִּצְדָקָֽה׃

KJVThe mountains shall bring peace to the people, and the little hills, by righteousness.

Let the mountains bear prosperity for the people, and the hills, in righteousness!

יִשְׁפֹּ֥ט עֲנִיֵּי עָ֑ם יוֹשִׁ֥יעַ לִ֝בְנֵ֗י אֶבְי֥וֹן וִֽידַכֵּ֥א עוֹשֵֽׁק׃

KJVHe shall judge the poor of the people, he shall save the children of the needy, and shall break in pieces the oppressor.

May he defend the cause of the poor of the people, give deliverance to the children of the needy, and crush the oppressor!

יִֽירָא֥וּךָ עִם שָׁ֑מֶשׁ וְלִפְנֵ֥י יָ֝רֵ֗חַ דּ֣וֹר דּוֹרִֽים׃

KJVThey shall fear thee as long as the sun and moon endure, throughout all generations.

May they fear you while the sun endures, and as long as the moon, throughout all generations!

יֵרֵ֣ד כְּ֭מָטָר עַל גֵּ֑ז כִּ֝רְבִיבִ֗ים זַרְזִ֥יף אָֽרֶץ׃

KJVHe shall come down like rain upon the mown grass: as showers that water the earth.

May he be like rain that falls on the mown grass, like showers that water the earth!

יִפְרַח בְּיָמָ֣יו צַדִּ֑יק וְרֹ֥ב שָׁ֝ל֗וֹם עַד בְּלִ֥י יָרֵֽחַ׃

KJVIn his days shall the righteous flourish; and abundance of peace so long as the moon endureth.

In his days may the righteous flourish, and peace abound, till the moon be no more!

וְיֵ֣רְדְּ מִ֭יָּם עַד יָ֑ם וּ֝מִנָּהָ֗ר עַד אַפְסֵי אָֽרֶץ׃

KJVHe shall have dominion also from sea to sea, and from the river unto the ends of the earth.

May he have dominion from sea to sea, and from the River to the ends of the earth!

לְפָנָ֥יו יִכְרְע֗וּ צִיִּ֗ים וְ֝אֹיְבָ֗יו עָפָ֥ר יְלַחֵֽכוּ׃

KJVThey that dwell in the wilderness shall bow before him; and his enemies shall lick the dust.

May desert tribes bow down before him, and his enemies lick the dust!

מַלְכֵ֤י תַרְשִׁישׁ֙ וְאִיִּ֗ים מִנְחָ֣ה יָשִׁ֑יבוּ מַלְכֵ֥י שְׁבָ֖א וּסְבָ֣א אֶשְׁכָּֽר יַקְרִֽיבוּ׃

KJVThe kings of Tarshish and of the isles shall bring presents: the kings of Sheba and Seba shall offer gifts.

May the kings of Tarshish and of the coastlands render him tribute; may the kings of Sheba and Seba bring gifts!

וְיִשְׁתַּחֲו֣וּ ל֭וֹ כָּל מְלָכִ֑ים כָּ֝ל גּוֹיִ֗ם יַעַבְדֽוּהוּ׃

KJVYea, all kings shall fall down before him: all nations shall serve him.

May all kings fall down before him, all nations serve him!

כִּֽי יַצִּ֣יל אֶבְי֣וֹן מְשַׁוֵּ֑עַ וְ֝עָנִ֗י וְֽלֹא עֹזֵ֥ר לֽוֹ׃

KJVFor he shall deliver the needy when he crieth; the poor also, and him that hath no helper.

For he delivers the needy when he calls, the poor and him who has no helper.

יָ֭חֹס עַל דַּ֣ל וְאֶבְי֑וֹן וְנַפְשׁ֥וֹת אֶבְי֗וֹנִ֗ים יוֹשִֽׁיעַ׃

KJVHe shall spare the poor and needy, and shall save the souls of the needy.

He has pity on the weak and the needy, and saves the lives of the needy.

14

מִתּ֣וֹךְ וּ֭מֵחָמָס יִגְאַ֣ל נַפְשָׁ֑ם וְיֵיקַ֥ר דָּ֝מָ֗ם בְּעֵינָֽיו׃

KJVHe shall redeem their soul from deceit and violence: and precious shall their blood be in his sight.

From oppression and violence he redeems their life, and precious is their blood in his sight.

וִיחִ֕י וְיִתֶּן לוֹ מִזְּהַ֥ב שְׁבָ֑א וְיִתְפַּלֵּ֥ל בַּ֝עֲד֗וֹ תָּמִ֥יד כָּל הַיּ֗וֹם יְבָרְכֶֽנְהוּ׃

KJVAnd he shall live, and to him shall be given of the gold of Sheba: prayer also shall be made for him continually; and daily shall he be praised.

Long may he live; may gold of Sheba be given to him! May prayer be made for him continually, and blessings invoked for him all the day!

יְהִ֤י פִסַּת בַּ֗ר בָּאָ֑רֶץ בְּרֹ֗אשׁ הָרִ֗ים יִרְעַ֗שׁ כַּלְּבָנ֗וֹן פִּרְי֗וֹ וְיָצִ֣יצוּ מֵעִ֣יר כְּעֵ֣שֶׂב הָאָֽרֶץ׃

KJVThere shall be an handful of corn in the earth upon the top of the mountains; the fruit thereof shall shake like Lebanon: and they of the city shall flourish like grass of the earth.

May there be abundance of grain in the land; on the tops of the mountains may it wave; may its fruit be like Lebanon; and may people blossom in the cities like the grass of the field!

יְהִ֤י שְׁמ֣וֹ לְ֭עוֹלָם לִ֥פְנֵי שֶׁ֗מֶשׁ יִנּ֣וֹן שְׁמ֑וֹ וְיִתְבָּ֘רְכ֤וּ ב֗וֹ כָּל גּוֹיִ֗ם יְאַשְּׁר֗וּהוּ׃

KJVHis name shall endure for ever: his name shall be continued as long as the sun: and men shall be blessed in him: all nations shall call him blessed.

May his name endure forever, his fame continue as long as the sun! May people be blessed in him, all nations call him blessed!

בָּר֤וּךְ יְהוָ֣ה אֱ֭לֹהִים אֱלֹהֵ֣י יִשְׂרָאֵ֑ל עֹשֵׂ֥ה נִ֝פְלָא֗וֹת לְבַדּֽוֹ׃

KJVBlessed be the LORD God, the God of Israel, who only doeth wondrous things.

Blessed be the LORD, the God of Israel, who alone does wondrous things.

19

וּבָר֤וּךְ ׀ שֵׁ֥ם כְּבוֹד֗וֹ לְ֫עוֹלָ֥ם וְיִמָּלֵ֣א כְ֭בוֹד֔וֹ אֶת כָּל הָאָ֑רֶץ אָ֘מֵ֤ן ׀ וְאָמֵֽן׃

KJVAnd blessed be his glorious name for ever: and let the whole earth be filled with his glory; Amen, and Amen.

Blessed be his glorious name forever; may the whole earth be filled with his glory! Amen and Amen!

כָּלּ֣וּ תְ֭פִלּוֹת דָּוִ֥ד בֶּן יִשָֽׁי׃

KJVThe prayers of David the son of Jesse are ended.
