וַתִּשְׁלַ֗ם כָּל הַמְּלָאכָה֙ אֲשֶׁ֣ר עָשָׂ֣ה שְׁלֹמֹ֔ה לְבֵ֥ית יְהוָ֖ה וַיָּ֣בֵא שְׁלֹמֹ֑ה אֶת קָדְשֵׁ֣י דָּוִ֣יד אָבִ֑יו וְאֶת הַכֶּ֣סֶף וְאֶת הַזָּהָ֣ב וְאֶ֣ת כָּל הַכֵּלִ֡ים נָתַ֣ן בְּאֹצְר֣וֹת בֵּ֥ית הָאֱלֹהִֽים׃

KJVThus all the work that Solomon made for the house of the LORD was finished: and Solomon brought in all the things that David his father had dedicated; and the silver, and the gold, and all the instruments, put he among the treasures of the house of God.

Thus all the work that Solomon did for the house of the LORD was finished. And Solomon brought in the things that David his father had dedicated, and stored the silver, the gold, and all the vessels in the treasuries of the house of God.

אָ֠ז יַקְהֵ֨ל שְׁלֹמֹ֜ה אֶת זִקְנֵ֤י יִשְׂרָאֵל֙ וְאֶ֣ת כָּל רָאשֵׁ֣י הַמַּטּ֔וֹת נְשִׂיאֵ֥י הָאָב֖וֹת לִבְנֵ֣י יִשְׂרָאֵ֑ל אֶל יְרוּשָׁלָ֗͏ִם לְהַעֲלוֹת֙ אֶ֣ת אֲר֣וֹן בְּרִ֣ית יְהוָ֔ה מֵעִ֖יר דָּוִ֥יד הִ֥יא צִיּֽוֹן׃

KJVThen Solomon assembled the elders of Israel, and all the heads of the tribes, the chief of the fathers of the children of Israel, unto Jerusalem, to bring up the ark of the covenant of the LORD out of the city of David, which is Zion.

Then Solomon assembled the elders of Israel and all the heads of the tribes, the leaders of the fathers' houses of the people of Israel, in Jerusalem, to bring up the ark of the covenant of the LORD out of the city of David, which is Zion.

וַיִּקָּהֲל֣וּ אֶל הַמֶּ֔לֶךְ כָּל אִ֣ישׁ יִשְׂרָאֵ֔ל בֶּחָ֖ג ה֑וּא הַחֹ֖דֶשׁ הַשְּׁבִיעִֽי׃

KJVWherefore all the men of Israel assembled themselves unto the king in the feast which was in the seventh month.

And all the men of Israel assembled before the king at the feast that is in the seventh month.

וַיָּבֹ֥אוּ כֹ֖ל זִקְנֵ֣י יִשְׂרָאֵ֑ל וַיִּשְׂא֣וּ הַלְוִיִּ֔ם אֶ֖ת הָאָרֽוֹן׃

KJVAnd all the elders of Israel came; and the Levites took up the ark.

And all the elders of Israel came, and the Levites took up the ark.

וַיַּעֲל֣וּ אֶ֣ת הָאָרוֹ֡ן וְאֶ֣ת אֹ֣הֶל מוֹעֵ֣ד וְאֶ֣ת כָּ֠ל כְּלֵ֠י הַקֹּ֠דֶשׁ אֲשֶׁ֨ר בָּאֹ֜הֶל הֶעֱל֣וּ אֹתָ֔ם הַכֹּהֲנִ֖ים הַלְוִיִּ֑ם׃

KJVAnd they brought up the ark, and the tabernacle of the congregation, and all the holy vessels that were in the tabernacle, these did the priests and the Levites bring up.

And they brought up the ark, the tent of meeting, and all the holy vessels that were in the tent; the Levitical priests brought them up.

וְהַמֶּ֥לֶךְ שְׁלֹמֹ֖ה וְכָ֣ל עֲדַ֣ת יִשְׂרָאֵ֑ל הַנּוֹעָדִ֣ים עָלָ֗יו לִפְנֵ֤י הָאָרוֹן֙ מְזַבְּחִ֣ים צֹ֣אן וּבָקָ֔ר אֲשֶׁ֧ר לֹ֣א יִסָּפְר֥וּ וְלֹ֖א יִמָּנ֥וּ מֵרֹֽב׃

KJVAlso king Solomon, and all the congregation of Israel that were assembled unto him before the ark, sacrificed sheep and oxen, which could not be told nor numbered for multitude.

And King Solomon and all the congregation of Israel who had assembled before him were before the ark, sacrificing so many sheep and oxen that they could not be counted or numbered.

וַיָּבִ֣יאוּ הַכֹּהֲנִ֗ים אֶת אֲר֣וֹן בְּרִ֣ית יְהוָ֡ה אֶ֣ל מְקוֹמ֡וֹ אֶ֣ל הַדְּבִ֣יר הַבַּ֣יִת אֶ֠ל קֹ֠דֶשׁ הַקֳּדָשִׁ֤ים אֶ֣ל תַּ֣חַת כַּנְפֵ֣י הַכְּרוּבִֽים׃

KJVAnd the priests brought in the ark of the covenant of the LORD unto his place, to the oracle of the house, into the most holy place, even under the wings of the cherubims:

Then the priests brought the ark of the covenant of the LORD to its place, in the inner sanctuary of the house, in the most holy place, underneath the wings of the cherubim.

וַיִּהְי֣וּ הַכְּרוּבִ֡ים פֹּרְשִׂ֣ים כְּנָפַ֡יִם עַ֣ל מְקוֹם הָ֠אָרוֹן וַיְכַסּ֨וּ הַכְּרוּבִ֜ים עַ֧ל הָאָר֛וֹן וְעַ֥ל בַּדָּ֖יו מִלְמָֽעְלָה׃

KJVFor the cherubims spread forth their wings over the place of the ark, and the cherubims covered the ark and the staves thereof above.

For the cherubim spread their wings over the place of the ark, so that the cherubim covered the ark and its poles from above.

וַיַּאֲרִ֙יכוּ֙ הַבַּדִּ֔ים וַיֵּרָאוּ֙ רָאשֵׁ֣י הַבַּדִּ֔ים מִן הָאָר֖וֹן עַ֣ל פְּנֵ֣י הַדְּבִ֑יר וְלֹ֤א יֵרָאוּ֙ הַח֔וּצָה וַיְהִ֥י שָׁ֖ם עַ֥ד הַיּ֖וֹם הַזֶּֽה׃

KJVAnd the staves were so long, that the ends of the staves were seen from the ark before the oracle; but they were not seen without. And there it is unto this day.

The poles were so long that the ends of the poles were seen from the holy place before the inner sanctuary, but they could not be seen from outside. And they are there to this day.

אֵ֣ין בָּאָר֗וֹן רַ֚ק שְׁנֵ֣י הַלּוּח֔וֹת אֲשֶׁ֤ר נָתַן֙ מֹשֶׁ֔ה בְּחֹרֵ֑ב אֲשֶׁ֨ר כָּרַ֤ת יְהוָה֙ עִ֣ם בְּנֵ֣י יִשְׂרָאֵ֔ל בְּצֵאתָ֖ם מִמִּצְרָֽיִם׃

KJVThere was nothing in the ark save the two tables which Moses put therein at Horeb, when the LORD made a covenant with the children of Israel, when they came out of Egypt.

There was nothing in the ark except the two tablets that Moses put there at Horeb, where the LORD made a covenant with the people of Israel, when they came out of Egypt.

וַיְהִ֗י בְּצֵ֤את הַכֹּהֲנִים֙ מִן הַקֹּ֔דֶשׁ כִּ֤י כָל הַכֹּהֲנִים֙ הַנִּמְצְאִ֔ים הִתְקַדָּ֖שׁוּ אֵ֣ין לִשְׁמ֣וֹר לְמַחְלְק֑וֹת׃

KJVAnd it came to pass, when the priests were come out of the holy place: (for all the priests that were present were sanctified, and did not then wait by course:

And when the priests came out of the holy place (for all the priests who were present had consecrated themselves, without regard to their divisions,

וְהַלְוִיִּ֣ם הַמְשֹׁרְרִ֡ים לְכֻלָּ֡ם לְאָסָ֨ף לְהֵימָ֜ן לִֽידוּתוּן֩ וְלִבְנֵיהֶ֨ם וְלַאֲחֵיהֶ֜ם מְלֻבָּשִׁ֣ים בּ֗וּץ בִּמְצִלְתַּ֤יִם וּבִנְבָלִים֙ וְכִנֹּר֔וֹת עֹמְדִ֞ים מִזְרָ֤ח לַמִּזְבֵּ֙חַ֙ וְעִמָּהֶ֗ם כֹּהֲנִ֛ים לְמֵא֥וֹת וְעֶשְׂרִ֖ים מַחְצְרִ֥ים בַּחֲצֹצְרֽוֹת׃

KJVAlso the Levites which were the singers, all of them of Asaph, of Heman, of Jeduthun, with their sons and their brethren, being arrayed in white linen, having cymbals and psalteries and harps, stood at the east end of the altar, and with them an hundred and twenty priests sounding with trumpets:)

and all the Levitical singers, Asaph, Heman, and Jeduthun, their sons and kinsmen, arrayed in fine linen, with cymbals, harps, and lyres, stood east of the altar with 120 priests who were trumpeters;

וַיְהִ֗י כְּאֶחָד֙ לַֽמְחַצְּצְרִ֣ים וְלַמְשֹׁרְרִ֔ים לְהַשְׁמִ֥יעַ קוֹל אֶחָ֖ד לְהַלֵּ֣ל וּלְהֹד֣וֹת לַ֣יהוָ֑ה וּכְהָרִ֣ים קוֹל֩ בַּחֲצֹצְר֨וֹת וּבִמְצִלְתַּ֜יִם וּבִכְלֵ֣י הַשִּׁ֗יר וּבְהַלֵּ֤ל לַ֙יהוָה֙ כִּ֣י ט֔וֹב כִּ֥י לְעוֹלָ֖ם חַסְדּ֑וֹ וְהַבַּ֙יִת֙ מָלֵ֣א עָנָ֔ן בֵּ֖ית יְהוָֽה׃

KJVIt came even to pass, as the trumpeters and singers were as one, to make one sound to be heard in praising and thanking the LORD; and when they lifted up their voice with the trumpets and cymbals and instruments of musick, and praised the LORD, saying, For he is good; for his mercy endureth for ever: that then the house was filled with a cloud, even the house of the LORD;

and it was the duty of the trumpeters and singers to make themselves heard in unison in praise and thanksgiving to the LORD), and when the song was raised, with trumpets and cymbals and other musical instruments, in praise to the LORD: For he is good, for his steadfast love endures forever, the house, the house of the LORD, was filled with a cloud,

וְלֹ֤א יָכְלוּ֙ הַכֹּהֲנִ֔ים לַעֲמֹ֖ד לְשָׁרֵ֑ת מִפְּנֵ֣י הֶעָנָ֔ן כִּ֥י מָלֵ֛א כְּב֥וֹד יְהוָ֖ה אֶ֥ת בֵּ֥ית הָאֱלֹהִֽים׃

KJVSo that the priests could not stand to minister by reason of the cloud: for the glory of the LORD had filled the house of God.

so that the priests could not stand to minister because of the cloud, for the glory of the LORD filled the house of God.
