בָּרֲכִ֣י נַ֭פְשִׁי אֶת יְהוָ֗ה יְהוָ֣ה אֱלֹהַ֣י גָּדַ֣לְתָּ מְּאֹ֑ד ה֤וֹד וְהָדָ֖ר לָבָֽשְׁתָּ׃

KJVBless the LORD, O my soul. O LORD my God, thou art very great; thou art clothed with honour and majesty.

Bless the LORD, O my soul! O LORD my God, you are very great! You are clothed with splendor and majesty,

עֹ֭טֶה אוֹר כַּשַּׂלְמָ֑ה נוֹטֶ֥ה שָׁ֝מַ֗יִם כַּיְרִיעָֽה׃

KJVWho coverest thyself with light as with a garment: who stretchest out the heavens like a curtain:

covering yourself with light as with a garment, stretching out the heavens like a tent.

הַמְקָרֶ֣ה בַמַּ֣יִם עֲלִיּוֹת֑וֹ הַשָּׂ֥ם עָ֝בִ֗ים רְכוּב֥וֹ הַמְהַלֵּ֗ךְ עַל כַּנְפֵ֥י רֽוּחַ׃

KJVWho layeth the beams of his chambers in the waters: who maketh the clouds his chariot: who walketh upon the wings of the wind:

He lays the beams of his chambers on the waters; he makes the clouds his chariot; he rides on the wings of the wind;

עֹשֶׂ֣ה מַלְאָכָ֣יו רוּח֑וֹת מְשָׁ֥רְתָ֗יו אֵ֣שׁ לֹהֵֽט׃

KJVWho maketh his angels spirits; his ministers a flaming fire:

he makes his messengers winds, his ministers a flaming fire.

יָסַ֣ד אֶ֭רֶץ עַל מְכוֹנֶ֑יהָ בַּ֥ל תִּ֝מּ֗וֹט עוֹלָ֥ם וָעֶֽד׃

KJVWho laid the foundations of the earth, that it should not be removed for ever.

He set the earth on its foundations, so that it should never be moved.

תְּה֣וֹם כַּ֭לְּבוּשׁ כִּסִּית֑וֹ עַל הָרִ֥ים יַ֝עַמְד֗וּ מָֽיִם׃

KJVThou coveredst it with the deep as with a garment: the waters stood above the mountains.

You covered it with the deep as with a garment; the waters stood above the mountains.

מִן גַּעֲרָ֣תְךָ יְנוּס֑וּן מִן ק֥וֹל רַ֝עַמְךָ יֵחָפֵזֽוּן׃

KJVAt thy rebuke they fled; at the voice of thy thunder they hasted away.

At your rebuke they fled; at the sound of your thunder they took to flight.

יַעֲל֣וּ הָרִ֣ים יֵרְד֣וּ בְקָע֑וֹת אֶ֥ל מְ֝ק֗וֹם זֶ֣ה יָסַ֣דְתָּ לָהֶֽם׃

KJVThey go up by the mountains; they go down by the valleys unto the place which thou hast founded for them.

The mountains rose, the valleys sank down to the place that you appointed for them.

גְּבוּל שַׂ֥מְתָּ בַּל יַעֲבֹר֑וּן בַּל יְ֝שׁוּב֗וּן לְכַסּ֥וֹת הָאָֽרֶץ׃

KJVThou hast set a bound that they may not pass over; that they turn not again to cover the earth.

You set a boundary that they may not pass, so that they might not again cover the earth.

10

הַ֭מְשַׁלֵּחַ מַעְיָנִ֣ים בַּנְּחָלִ֑ים בֵּ֥ין הָ֝רִ֗ים יְהַלֵּכֽוּן׃

KJVHe sendeth the springs into the valleys, which run among the hills.

You make springs gush forth in the valleys; they flow between the hills;

יַ֭שְׁקוּ כָּל חַיְת֣וֹ שָׂדָ֑י יִשְׁבְּר֖וּ פְרָאִ֣ים צְמָאָֽם׃

KJVThey give drink to every beast of the field: the wild asses quench their thirst.

they give drink to every beast of the field; the wild donkeys quench their thirst.

עֲלֵיהֶ֗ם עוֹף הַ֭שָּׁמַיִם יִשְׁכּ֑וֹן מִ֝בֵּ֗ין עֳפָאִ֥יִּם יִתְּנוּ קֽוֹל׃

KJVBy them shall the fowls of the heaven have their habitation, which sing among the branches.

Beside them the birds of the heavens dwell; they sing among the branches.

מַשְׁקֶ֣ה הָרִ֣ים מֵעֲלִיּוֹת֑וֹ מִ֝פְּרִ֗י מַעֲשֶׂ֥יךָ תִּשְׂבַּ֥ע הָאָֽרֶץ׃

KJVHe watereth the hills from his chambers: the earth is satisfied with the fruit of thy works.

From your lofty abode you water the mountains; the earth is satisfied with the fruit of your work.

מַצְמִ֤יחַ חָצִ֥יר לַבְּהֵמָ֑ה וְ֝עֵ֗שֶׂב לַעֲבֹדַ֥ת הָאָדָ֗ם לְהוֹצִ֣יא לֶ֭חֶם מִן הָאָֽרֶץ׃

KJVHe causeth the grass to grow for the cattle, and herb for the service of man: that he may bring forth food out of the earth;

You cause the grass to grow for the livestock and plants for man to cultivate, that he may bring forth food from the earth

וְיַ֗יִן יְשַׂמַּ֣ח לְבַב אֱנ֣וֹשׁ לְהַצְהִ֥יל פָּנִ֗ים מִשָּׁ֑מֶן וְ֝לֶ֗חֶם לְבַב אֱנ֣וֹשׁ יִסְעָֽד׃

KJVAnd wine that maketh glad the heart of man, and oil to make his face to shine, and bread which strengtheneth man's heart.

and wine to gladden the heart of man, oil to make his face shine and bread to strengthen man's heart.

16

יִ֭שְׂבְּעוּ עֲצֵ֣י יְהוָ֑ה אַ֝רְזֵ֗י לְבָנ֥וֹן אֲשֶׁ֥ר נָטָֽע׃

KJVThe trees of the LORD are full of sap; the cedars of Lebanon, which he hath planted;

The trees of the LORD are watered abundantly, the cedars of Lebanon that he planted.

17

אֲשֶׁר שָׁ֭ם צִפֳּרִ֣ים יְקַנֵּ֑נוּ חֲסִידָ֥ה בְ֝רוֹשִׁ֗ים בֵּיתָֽהּ׃

KJVWhere the birds make their nests: as for the stork, the fir trees are her house.

In them the birds build their nests; the stork has her home in the fir trees.

18

הָרִ֣ים הַ֭גְּבֹהִים לַיְּעֵלִ֑ים סְלָעִ֗֝ים מַחְסֶ֥ה לַשְׁפַנִּֽים׃

KJVThe high hills are a refuge for the wild goats; and the rocks for the conies.

The high mountains are for the wild goats; the rocks are a refuge for the rock badgers.

19

עָשָׂ֣ה יָ֭רֵחַ לְמוֹעֲדִ֑ים שֶׁ֝֗מֶשׁ יָדַ֥ע מְבוֹאֽוֹ׃

KJVHe appointed the moon for seasons: the sun knoweth his going down.

He made the moon to mark the seasons; the sun knows its time for setting.

20

תָּשֶׁת חֹ֣שֶׁךְ וִיהִ֣י לָ֑יְלָה בּ֝֗וֹ תִּרְמֹ֥שׂ כָּל חַיְת֥וֹ יָֽעַר׃

KJVThou makest darkness, and it is night: wherein all the beasts of the forest do creep forth.

You make darkness, and it is night, when all the beasts of the forest creep about.

21

הַ֭כְּפִירִים שֹׁאֲגִ֣ים לַטָּ֑רֶף וּלְבַקֵּ֖שׁ מֵאֵ֣ל אָכְלָֽם׃

KJVThe young lions roar after their prey, and seek their meat from God.

The young lions roar for their prey, seeking their food from God.

22

תִּזְרַ֣ח הַ֭שֶּׁמֶשׁ יֵאָסֵפ֑וּן וְאֶ֖ל מְעוֹנֹתָ֣ם יִרְבָּצֽוּן׃

KJVThe sun ariseth, they gather themselves together, and lay them down in their dens.

When the sun rises, they steal away and lie down in their dens.

23

יֵצֵ֣א אָדָ֣ם לְפָעֳל֑וֹ וְלַ֝עֲבֹדָת֗וֹ עֲדֵי עָֽרֶב׃

KJVMan goeth forth unto his work and to his labour until the evening.

Man goes out to his work and to his labor until the evening.

24

מָ֥ה רַבּ֗וּ מַעֲשֶׂ֥יךָ יְהוָ֑ה כֻּ֝לָּ֗ם בְּחָכְמָ֥ה עָשִׂ֗יתָ מָלְאָ֥ה הָאָ֗רֶץ קִנְיָנֶֽךָ׃

KJVO LORD, how manifold are thy works! in wisdom hast thou made them all: the earth is full of thy riches.

O LORD, how manifold are your works! In wisdom have you made them all; the earth is full of your creatures.

25

זֶ֤ה הַיָּ֥ם גָּדֹ֗ול וּרְחַ֫ב יָ֥דָיִם שָׁ֣ם רֶ֭מֶשׂ וְאֵ֣ין מִסְפָּ֑ר חַיּ֥וֹת קְ֝טַנּ֗וֹת עִם גְּדֹלֽוֹת׃

KJVSo is this great and wide sea, wherein are things creeping innumerable, both small and great beasts.

Here is the sea, great and wide, which teems with creatures innumerable, living things both small and great.

26

שָׁ֭ם אֳנִיּ֣וֹת יְהַלֵּכ֑וּן לִ֝וְיָתָ֗ן זֶ֤ה ׀ יָצַ֥רְתָּ לְשַׂחֶק בּֽוֹ׃

KJVThere go the ships: there is that leviathan, whom thou hast made to play therein.

There go the ships, and Leviathan, which you formed to play in it.

27

כֻּלָּ֗ם אֵ֭לֶיךָ יְשַׂבֵּר֑וּן לָ֝תֵת אָכְלָ֗ם בְּעִתּֽוֹ׃

KJVThese wait all upon thee; that thou mayest give them their meat in due season.

These all look to you, to give them their food in due season.

28

תִּתֵּ֣ן לָ֭הֶם יִלְקֹט֑וּן תִּפְתַּ֥ח יָ֝דְךָ֗ יִשְׂבְּע֥וּן טֽוֹב׃

KJVThat thou givest them they gather: thou openest thine hand, they are filled with good.

When you give it to them, they gather it up; when you open your hand, they are filled with good things.

29

תַּסְתִּ֣יר פָּ֭נֶיךָ יִבָּהֵל֑וּן תֹּסֵ֥ף ר֝וּחָ֗ם יִגְוָע֥וּן וְאֶֽל עֲפָרָ֗ם יְשׁוּבֽוּן׃

KJVThou hidest thy face, they are troubled: thou takest away their breath, they die, and return to their dust.

When you hide your face, they are dismayed; when you take away their breath, they die and return to their dust.

30

תְּשַׁלַּ֣ח רוּחֲךָ֣ יִבָּרֵא֑וּן וּ֝תְחַדֵּ֗שׁ פְּנֵ֣י אֲדָמָֽה׃

KJVThou sendest forth thy spirit, they are created: and thou renewest the face of the earth.

When you send forth your Spirit, they are created, and you renew the face of the ground.

31

יְהִ֤י כְב֣וֹד יְ֭הוָה לְעוֹלָ֑ם יִשְׂמַ֥ח יְ֝הוָ֗ה בְּמַעֲשָֽׂיו׃

KJVThe glory of the LORD shall endure for ever: the LORD shall rejoice in his works.

May the glory of the LORD endure forever; may the LORD rejoice in his works,

32

הַמַּבִּ֣יט לָאָ֣רֶץ וַתִּרְעָ֑ד יִגַּ֥ע בֶּ֝הָרִ֗ים וְיֶֽעֱשָֽׁנוּ׃

KJVHe looketh on the earth, and it trembleth: he toucheth the hills, and they smoke.

who looks on the earth and it trembles, who touches the mountains and they smoke!

33

אָשִׁ֣ירָה לַ֭יהוָה בְּחַיָּ֑י אֲזַמְּרָ֖ה לֵאלֹהַ֣י בְּעוֹדִֽי׃

KJVI will sing unto the LORD as long as I live: I will sing praise to my God while I have my being.

I will sing to the LORD as long as I live; I will sing praise to my God while I have being.

34

יֶ֥עֱרַב עָ֗לָיו שִׂ֫יחִ֥י אָנֹכִ֥י אֶשְׂמַ֗ח בַּיהוָֽה׃

KJVMy meditation of him shall be sweet: I will be glad in the LORD.

May my meditation be pleasing to him, for I rejoice in the LORD.

35

יִתַּ֣מּוּ חַ֭טָּאִים מִן הָאָ֑רֶץ וּ֝רְשָׁעִ֗ים ע֣וֹד אֵינָ֣ם בָּרֲכִ֥י נַ֝פְשִׁ֗י אֶת יְהוָ֗ה הַ֝לֲלוּ יָֽהּ׃

KJVLet the sinners be consumed out of the earth, and let the wicked be no more. Bless thou the LORD, O my soul. Praise ye the LORD.

Let sinners be consumed from the earth, and let the wicked be no more! Bless the LORD, O my soul! Praise the LORD!
