הוֹד֣וּ לַ֭יהוָה קִרְא֣וּ בִשְׁמ֑וֹ הוֹדִ֥יעוּ בָ֝עַמִּ֗ים עֲלִילוֹתָֽיו׃
KJVO give thanks unto the LORD; call upon his name: make known his deeds among the people.
Oh give thanks to the LORD; call upon his name; make known his deeds among the peoples!

שִׁ֤ירוּ ל֗וֹ זַמְּר֥וּ ל֑וֹ שִׂ֝֗יחוּ בְּכָל נִפְלְאוֹתָֽיו׃
KJVSing unto him, sing psalms unto him: talk ye of all his wondrous works.
Sing to him, sing praises to him; tell of all his wondrous works!

הִ֭תְהַלְלוּ בְּשֵׁ֣ם קָדְשׁ֑וֹ יִ֝שְׂמַ֗ח לֵ֣ב מְבַקְשֵׁ֣י יְהוָֽה׃
KJVGlory ye in his holy name: let the heart of them rejoice that seek the LORD.
Glory in his holy name; let the hearts of those who seek the LORD rejoice!

דִּרְשׁ֣וּ יְהוָ֣ה וְעֻזּ֑וֹ בַּקְּשׁ֥וּ פָ֝נָ֗יו תָּמִֽיד׃
KJVSeek the LORD, and his strength: seek his face evermore.
Seek the LORD and his strength; seek his presence continually!

זִכְר֗וּ נִפְלְאֹתָ֥יו אֲשֶׁר עָשָׂ֑ה מֹ֝פְתָ֗יו וּמִשְׁפְּטֵי פִֽיו׃
KJVRemember his marvellous works that he hath done; his wonders, and the judgments of his mouth;
Remember the wondrous works that he has done, his miracles, and the judgments he uttered,

זֶ֤רַע אַבְרָהָ֨ם ׀ עַבְד֗וֹ בְּנֵ֣י יַ֭עֲקֹב בְּחִירָֽיו׃
KJVO ye seed of Abraham his servant, ye children of Jacob his chosen.
O offspring of Abraham, his servant, children of Jacob, his chosen ones!

ה֭וּא יְהוָ֣ה אֱלֹהֵ֑ינוּ בְּכָל הָ֝אָ֗רֶץ מִשְׁפָּטָֽיו׃
KJVHe is the LORD our God: his judgments are in all the earth.
He is the LORD our God; his judgments are in all the earth.

זָכַ֣ר לְ֭עוֹלָם בְּרִית֑וֹ דָּ֝בָ֗ר צִוָּ֥ה לְאֶ֗לֶף דּ֑וֹר׃
KJVHe hath remembered his covenant for ever, the word which he commanded to a thousand generations.
He remembers his covenant forever, the word that he commanded, for a thousand generations,

אֲשֶׁ֣ר כָּ֭רַת אֶת אַבְרָהָ֑ם וּשְׁבוּעָת֥וֹ לְיִשְׂחָֽק׃
KJVWhich covenant he made with Abraham, and his oath unto Isaac;
the covenant that he made with Abraham, his sworn promise to Isaac,

וַיַּעֲמִידֶ֣הָ לְיַעֲקֹ֣ב לְחֹ֑ק לְ֝יִשְׂרָאֵ֗ל בְּרִ֣ית עוֹלָֽם׃
KJVAnd confirmed the same unto Jacob for a law, and to Israel for an everlasting covenant:
which he confirmed to Jacob as a statute, to Israel as an everlasting covenant,

לֵאמֹ֗ר לְךָ֗ אֶתֵּ֣ן אֶת אֶ֣רֶץ כְּנָ֑עַן חֶ֝֗בֶל נַחֲלַ֥תְכֶֽם׃
KJVSaying, Unto thee will I give the land of Canaan, the lot of your inheritance:
saying: To you I will give the land of Canaan as your portion for an inheritance.

בִּהְי֣וֹתָם מְתֵ֣י מִסְפָּ֑ר כִּ֝מְעַ֗ט וְגָרִ֥ים בָּֽהּ׃
KJVWhen they were but a few men in number; yea, very few, and strangers in it.
When they were few in number, of little account, and sojourners in it,

וַיִּתְהַלְּכ֗וּ מִגּ֥וֹי אֶל גּ֑וֹי מִ֝מַּמְלָכָ֗ה אֶֽל עַ֣ם אַחֵֽר׃
KJVWhen they went from one nation to another, from one kingdom to another people;
wandering from nation to nation, from one kingdom to another people,
14
לֹא הִנִּ֣יחַ אָדָ֣ם לְעָשְׁקָ֑ם וַיּ֥וֹכַח עֲ֝לֵיהֶ֗ם מְלָכִֽים׃
KJVHe suffered no man to do them wrong: yea, he reproved kings for their sakes;
he allowed no one to oppress them; he rebuked kings on their account,
15
אַל תִּגְּע֥וּ בִמְשִׁיחָ֑י וְ֝לִנְבִיאַ֗י אַל תָּרֵֽעוּ׃
KJVSaying, Touch not mine anointed, and do my prophets no harm.
saying: Touch not my anointed ones, do my prophets no harm!
16
וַיִּקְרָ֣א רָ֭עָב עַל הָאָ֑רֶץ כָּל מַטֵּה לֶ֝֗חֶם שָׁבָֽר׃
KJVMoreover he called for a famine upon the land: he brake the whole staff of bread.
When he summoned a famine on the land and broke all supply of bread,

שָׁ֣לַח לִ֭פְנֵיהֶם אִ֑ישׁ לְעֶ֥בֶד נִ֝מְכַּ֗ר יוֹסֵֽף׃
KJVHe sent a man before them, even Joseph, who was sold for a servant:
he had sent a man ahead of them, Joseph, who was sold as a slave.
18
עִנּ֣וּ בַכֶּ֣בֶל רַגְל֑וֹ בַּרְזֶ֗֝ל בָּ֣אָה נַפְשֽׁוֹ׃
KJVWhose feet they hurt with fetters: he was laid in iron:
His feet were hurt with fetters; his neck was put in a collar of iron;
19
עַד עֵ֣ת בֹּֽא דְבָר֑וֹ אִמְרַ֖ת יְהוָ֣ה צְרָפָֽתְהוּ׃
KJVUntil the time that his word came: the word of the LORD tried him.
until what he had said came to pass, the word of the LORD tested him.
20
שָׁלַ֣ח מֶ֭לֶךְ וַיַּתִּירֵ֑הוּ מֹשֵׁ֖ל עַמִּ֣ים וַיְפַתְּחֵֽהוּ׃
KJVThe king sent and loosed him; even the ruler of the people, and let him go free.
The king sent and released him; the ruler of peoples set him free;
21
שָׂמ֗וֹ אָד֥וֹן לְבֵית֑וֹ וּ֝מֹשֵׁ֗ל בְּכָל קִנְיָנֽוֹ׃
KJVHe made him lord of his house, and ruler of all his substance:
he made him lord of his house and ruler of all his possessions,
22
לֶאְסֹ֣ר שָׂרָ֣יו בְּנַפְשׁ֑וֹ וּזְקֵנָ֓יו ׀ יְחַכֵּֽם׃
KJVTo bind his princes at his pleasure; and teach his senators wisdom.
to bind his princes at his pleasure and to teach his elders wisdom.
23
וַיָּבֹ֣א יִשְׂרָאֵ֣ל מִצְרָ֑יִם וְ֝יַעֲקֹ֗ב גָּ֣ר בְּאֶ֣רֶץ חָֽם׃
KJVIsrael also came into Egypt; and Jacob sojourned in the land of Ham.
Then Israel came to Egypt; Jacob sojourned in the land of Ham.
24
וַיֶּ֣פֶר אֶ֭עַמּוֹ מְאֹ֑ד וַ֝יַּעֲצִמֵ֗הוּ מִצָּרָֽיו׃
KJVAnd he increased his people greatly; and made them stronger than their enemies.
And the LORD made his people very fruitful and made them stronger than their foes.
25
הָפַ֣ךְ לִבָּ֣ם לִשְׂנֹ֣א עַמּ֑וֹ לְהִ֝תְנַכֵּ֗ל בַּעֲבָדָֽיו׃
KJVHe turned their heart to hate his people, to deal subtilly with his servants.
He turned their hearts to hate his people, to deal craftily with his servants.
26
שָׁ֭לַח מֹשֶׁ֣ה עַבְד֑וֹ אַ֝הֲרֹ֗ן אֲשֶׁ֣ר בָּחַר בּֽוֹ׃
KJVHe sent Moses his servant; and Aaron whom he had chosen.
He sent Moses, his servant, and Aaron, whom he had chosen.
27
שָׂ֣מוּ בָ֭ם דִּבְרֵ֣י אֹתוֹתָ֑יו וּ֝מֹפְתִ֗ים בְּאֶ֣רֶץ חָֽם׃
KJVThey shewed his signs among them, and wonders in the land of Ham.
They performed his signs among them and miracles in the land of Ham.
28
שָׁלַ֣ח חֹ֭שֶׁךְ וַיַּחְשִׁ֑ךְ וְלֹ֥א מָ֝ר֗וּ אֶת דְּבָרֽוֹ׃
KJVHe sent darkness, and made it dark; and they rebelled not against his word.
He sent darkness, and made the land dark; they did not rebel against his words.
29
הָ֭פַךְ אֶת מֵימֵיהֶ֣ם לְדָ֑ם וַיָּ֖מֶת אֶת דְּגָתָֽם׃
KJVHe turned their waters into blood, and slew their fish.
He turned their waters into blood and caused their fish to die.
30
שָׁ֣רַץ אַ֭רְצָם צְפַרְדְּעִ֑ים בְּ֝חַדְרֵ֗י מַלְכֵיהֶֽם׃
KJVTheir land brought forth frogs in abundance, in the chambers of their kings.
Their land swarmed with frogs, even in the chambers of their kings.
31
אָמַ֣ר וַ֭יָּבֹא עָרֹ֑ב כִּ֝נִּ֗ים בְּכָל גְּבוּלָֽם׃
KJVHe spake, and there came divers sorts of flies, and lice in all their coasts.
He spoke, and there came swarms of flies, and gnats throughout their country.
32
נָ֘תַ֤ן גִּשְׁמֵיהֶ֗ם בָּרָ֑ד אֵ֖שׁ לֶהָב֣וֹת בְּאַרְצָֽם׃
KJVHe gave them hail for rain, and flaming fire in their land.
He gave them hail for rain, and fiery lightning bolts through their land.
33
וַיַּ֣ךְ גַּ֭פְנָם וּתְאֵנָתָ֑ם וַ֝יְשַׁבֵּ֗ר עֵ֣ץ גְּבוּלָֽם׃
KJVHe smote their vines also and their fig trees; and brake the trees of their coasts.
He struck down their vines and fig trees, and shattered the trees of their country.
34
אָ֘מַ֤ר וַיָּבֹ֣א אַרְבֶּ֣ה וְ֭יֶלֶק וְאֵ֣ין מִסְפָּ֑ר׃
KJVHe spake, and the locusts came, and caterpillers, and that without number,
He spoke, and the locusts came, young locusts without number,
35
וַ֭יֹּאכַל כָּל עֵ֣שֶׂב בְּאַרְצָ֑ם וַ֝יֹּ֗אכַל פְּרִ֣י אַדְמָתָֽם׃
KJVAnd did eat up all the herbs in their land, and devoured the fruit of their ground.
which devoured all the vegetation in their land and ate up the fruit of their ground.
36
וַיַּ֣ךְ כָּל בְּכ֣וֹר בְּאַרְצָ֑ם רֵ֝אשִׁ֗ית לְכָל אוֹנָֽם׃
KJVHe smote also all the firstborn in their land, the chief of all their strength.
He struck down all the firstborn in their land, the firstfruits of all their strength.
37
וַיּוֹצִיאֵ֣ם בְּכֶ֣סֶף וְזָהָ֑ב וְ֝אֵ֗ין בִּשְׁבָטָ֥יו כּוֹשֵֽׁל׃
KJVHe brought them forth also with silver and gold: and there was not one feeble person among their tribes.
Then he brought out Israel with silver and gold, and there was none among his tribes who stumbled.
38
שָׂ֣מַח מִ֭צְרַיִם בְּצֵאתָ֑ם כִּֽי נָ֝פַ֗ל פַּחְדָּ֥ם עֲלֵיהֶֽם׃
KJVEgypt was glad when they departed: for the fear of them fell upon them.
Egypt was glad when they departed, for dread of them had fallen upon it.
39
פָּרַ֣שׂ עָנָ֣ן לְמָסָ֑ךְ וְ֝אֵ֗שׁ לְהָאִ֥יר לָֽיְלָה׃
KJVHe spread a cloud for a covering; and fire to give light in the night.
He spread a cloud for a covering, and fire to give light by night.
40
שָׁאַ֣ל וַ֭יָּבֵא שְׂלָ֑ו וְלֶ֥חֶם שָׁ֝מַ֗יִם יַשְׂבִּיעֵֽם׃
KJVThe people asked, and he brought quails, and satisfied them with the bread of heaven.
They asked, and he brought quail, and gave them bread from heaven in abundance.
41
פָּ֘תַ֤ח צ֣וּר וַ֭יָּזוּבוּ מָ֑יִם הָ֝לְכ֗וּ בַּצִּיּ֥וֹת נָהָֽר׃
KJVHe opened the rock, and the waters gushed out; they ran in the dry places like a river.
He opened the rock, and water gushed out; it flowed through the desert like a river.
42
כִּי זָ֭כַר אֶת דְּבַ֣ר קָדְשׁ֑וֹ אֶת אַבְרָהָ֥ם עַבְדּֽוֹ׃
KJVFor he remembered his holy promise, and Abraham his servant.

43
וַיּוֹצִ֣א עַמּ֣וֹ בְשָׂשׂ֑וֹן בְּ֝רִנָּ֗ה אֶת בְּחִירָֽיו׃
KJVAnd he brought forth his people with joy, and his chosen with gladness:
So he brought his people out with joy, his chosen ones with singing.
44
וַיִּתֵּ֣ן לָ֭הֶם אַרְצ֣וֹת גּוֹיִ֑ם וַ֝עֲמַ֗ל לְאֻמִּ֥ים יִירָֽשׁוּ׃
KJVAnd gave them the lands of the heathen: and they inherited the labour of the people;
And he gave them the lands of the nations, and they took possession of the fruit of the peoples' toil,
45
בַּעֲב֤וּר יִשְׁמְר֣וּ חֻ֭קָּיו וְתוֹרֹתָ֣יו יִנְצֹ֑רוּ הַ֝לֲלוּ יָֽהּ׃
KJVThat they might observe his statutes, and keep his laws. Praise ye the LORD.
