לַמְנַצֵּ֬חַ לְדָוִ֗ד בַּיהוָ֣ה חָ֭סִיתִי אֵ֥יךְ תֹּאמְר֗וּ לְנַפְשִׁ֗י נוּדִ֥י הַרְכֶ֗ם צִפּֽוֹר׃
KJVTo the chief Musician, A Psalm of David. In the LORD put I my trust: how say ye to my soul, Flee as a bird to your mountain?
To the choirmaster. Of David. In the LORD I take refuge; how can you say to my soul: Flee like a bird to your mountain,

כִּ֤י הִנֵּ֥ה הָרְשָׁעִ֗ים יִ֫דְרְכ֥וּן קֶ֭שֶׁת כּוֹנְנ֣וּ חִצָּ֑ם עַל יֶ֗֝תֶר לִירוֹת בְּמוֹ אֹ֘פֶ֤ל לְיִשְׁרֵי לֵֽב׃
KJVFor, lo, the wicked bend their bow, they make ready their arrow upon the string, that they may privily shoot at the upright in heart.
for behold, the wicked bend the bow; they have fitted their arrow to the string to shoot in the dark at the upright in heart;

כִּ֣י הַ֭שָּׁתוֹת יֵהָרֵס֑וּן צַ֝דִּ֗יק מַה פָּעָֽל׃
KJVIf the foundations be destroyed, what can the righteous do?
if the foundations are destroyed, what can the righteous do?

יְהוָ֤ה ׀ בְּהֵיכַ֬ל קָדְשׁ֗וֹ יְהוָ֥ה בַּשָּׁמַ֗יִם כִּסְא֑וֹ עֵינָ֥יו יֶ֝חֱז֗וּ עַפְעַפָּ֥יו יִבְחֲנ֗וּ בְּנֵ֥י אָדָֽם׃
KJVThe LORD is in his holy temple, the LORD's throne is in heaven: his eyes behold, his eyelids try, the children of men.
The LORD is in his holy temple; the LORD's throne is in heaven; his eyes see, his eyelids test the children of man.

יְהוָ֗ה יִבְחַ֥ן צַדִּ֑יק וְ֝רָשָׁ֗ע וְאֹהֵ֥ב חָמָ֗ס שָֽׂנְאָ֥ה נַפְשֽׁוֹ׃
KJVThe LORD trieth the righteous: but the wicked and him that loveth violence his soul hateth.
The LORD tests the righteous, but his soul hates the wicked and the one who loves violence.

יַמְטֵ֣ר עַל רְשָׁעִ֣ים פַּחִ֑ים אֵ֥שׁ וְ֝גָפְרִ֗ית וְר֣וּחַ זִלְעָפ֣וֹת מְנָ֣ת כּוֹסָֽם׃
KJVUpon the wicked he shall rain snares, fire and brimstone, and an horrible tempest: this shall be the portion of their cup.
Let him rain coals on the wicked; fire and sulfur and a scorching wind shall be the portion of their cup.

כִּֽי צַדִּ֣יק יְ֭הוָה צְדָקֹ֣ות אָהֵ֑ב יָ֝שָׁ֗ר יֶחֱז֥וּ פָנֵֽימוֹ׃
KJVFor the righteous LORD loveth righteousness; his countenance doth behold the upright.
For the LORD is righteous; he loves righteous deeds; the upright shall behold his face.
