שִׁ֗יר הַֽמַּ֫עֲל֥וֹת רַ֭בַּת צְרָר֣וּנִי מִנְּעוּרַ֑י יֹ֥אמַר נָ֝א יִשְׂרָאֵֽל׃

KJVA Song of degrees. Many a time have they afflicted me from my youth, may Israel now say:

A Song of Ascents. Greatly have they afflicted me from my youth — let Israel now say —

רַ֭בַּת צְרָר֣וּנִי מִנְּעוּרָ֑י גַּ֝֗ם לֹא יָ֣כְלוּ לִֽי׃

KJVMany a time have they afflicted me from my youth: yet they have not prevailed against me.

Greatly have they afflicted me from my youth, yet they have not prevailed against me.

עַל גַּ֭בִּי חָרְשׁ֣וּ חֹרְשִׁ֑ים הֶ֝אֱרִ֗יכוּ לְמַעֲנִיתָֽם׃

יְ֭הוָה צַדִּ֑יק קִ֝צֵּ֗ץ עֲב֣וֹת רְשָׁעִֽים׃

KJVThe LORD is righteous: he hath cut asunder the cords of the wicked.

יֵ֭בֹשׁוּ וְיִסֹּ֣גוּ אָח֑וֹר כֹּ֝֗ל שֹׂנְאֵ֥י צִיּֽוֹן׃

KJVLet them all be confounded and turned back that hate Zion.

May all who hate Zion be put to shame and turned backward!

יִ֭הְיוּ כַּחֲצִ֣יר גַּגּ֑וֹת שֶׁקַּדְמַ֥ת שָׁלַ֗ף יָבֵֽשׁ׃

KJVLet them be as the grass upon the housetops, which withereth afore it groweth up:

Let them be like the grass on the housetops, which withers before it grows up,

שֶׁ֭לֹּא מִלֵּ֣א כַפּ֑וֹ קוֹצֵ֗ר וְחִצְנ֥וֹ מְעַמֵּֽר׃

KJVWherewith the mower filleth not his hand; nor he that bindeth sheaves his bosom.

with which the reaper does not fill his hand or the binder of sheaves his arms,

וְלֹ֤א אָמְר֥וּ הָעֹבְרִ֗ים בִּרְכַּ֥ת יְהוָ֗ה אֲלֵ֣יכֶם בֵּרַ֣כְנוּ אֶתְכֶ֗ם בְּשֵׁ֣ם יְהוָֽה׃

KJVNeither do they which go by say, The blessing of the LORD be upon you: we bless you in the name of the LORD.

while those who pass by do not say: The blessing of the LORD be upon you! We bless you in the name of the LORD!
