לָ֭מָּה רָגְשׁ֣וּ גוֹיִ֑ם וּ֝לְאֻמִּ֗ים יֶהְגּוּ רִֽיק׃
KJVWhy do the heathen rage, and the people imagine a vain thing?
Why do the nations rage and the peoples plot in vain?

יִ֥תְיַצְּב֨וּ ׀ מַלְכֵי אֶ֗רֶץ וְרוֹזְנִ֥ים נוֹסְד֗וּ יָ֫חַד עַל יְהוָ֥ה וְעַל מְשִׁיחֽוֹ׃
KJVThe kings of the earth set themselves, and the rulers take counsel together, against the LORD, and against his anointed, saying,

נְנַתְּקָ֣ה אֶת מֽוֹסְרוֹתֵ֑ימוֹ וְנַשְׁלִ֥יכָה מִ֝מֶּ֗נּוּ עֲבֹתֵֽימוֹ׃
KJVLet us break their bands asunder, and cast away their cords from us.
Let us burst their bonds apart and cast away their cords from us.

יוֹשֵׁ֣ב בַּשָּׁמַ֣יִם יִשְׂחָ֑ק אֲ֝דֹנָ֗י יִלְעַג לָֽמוֹ׃
KJVHe that sitteth in the heavens shall laugh: the LORD shall have them in derision.
He who sits in the heavens laughs; the Lord holds them in derision.

אָ֤ז יְדַבֵּ֣ר אֵלֵ֣ימוֹ בְאַפּ֑וֹ וּֽבַחֲרוֹנ֥וֹ יְבַהֲלֵֽמוֹ׃
KJVThen shall he speak unto them in his wrath, and vex them in his sore displeasure.
Then he will speak to them in his wrath, and terrify them in his fury, saying,

וַ֭אֲנִי נָסַ֣כְתִּי מַלְכִּ֑י עַל צִ֝יּ֗וֹן הַר קָדְשִֽׁי׃
KJVYet have I set my king upon my holy hill of Zion.
As for me, I have set my King on Zion, my holy hill.

אֲסַפְּרָ֗ה אֶ֫ל חֹ֥ק יְהוָ֗ה אָ֫מַ֥ר אֵלַ֗י בְּנִ֥י אַ֗תָּה אֲנִ֣י הַ֭יּוֹם יְלִדְתִּֽיךָ׃
KJVI will declare the decree: the LORD hath said unto me, Thou art my Son; this day have I begotten thee.
I will tell of the decree: the LORD said to me: You are my Son; today I have begotten you.

שְׁאַ֤ל מִמֶּ֗נִּי וְאֶתְּנָ֣ה ג֭וֹיִם נַחֲלָתֶ֑ךָ וַ֝אֲחֻזָּתְךָ֗ אַפְסֵי אָֽרֶץ׃
KJVAsk of me, and I shall give thee the heathen for thine inheritance, and the uttermost parts of the earth for thy possession.
Ask of me, and I will make the nations your heritage, and the ends of the earth your possession.

תְּ֭רֹעֵם בְּשֵׁ֣בֶט בַּרְזֶ֑ל כִּכְלִ֥י יוֹצֵ֗ר תְּנַפְּצֵֽם׃
KJVThou shalt break them with a rod of iron; thou shalt dash them in pieces like a potter's vessel.

וְעַתָּ֣ה מְלָכִ֣ים הַשְׂכִּ֑ילוּ הִ֝וָּסְר֗וּ שֹׁפְטֵ֥י אָֽרֶץ׃
KJVBe wise now therefore, O ye kings: be instructed, ye judges of the earth.
Now therefore, O kings, be wise; be warned, O rulers of the earth.

עִבְד֣וּ אֶת יְהוָ֣ה בְּיִרְאָ֑ה וְ֝גִ֗ילוּ בִּרְעָדָֽה׃
KJVServe the LORD with fear, and rejoice with trembling.
12
נַשְּׁקוּ בַ֡ר פֶּן יֶאֱנַ֤ף ׀ וְתֹאבְד֬וּ דֶ֗רֶךְ כִּי יִבְעַ֣ר כִּ֣מְעַט אַפּ֑וֹ אַ֝שְׁרֵ֗י כָּל חוֹסֵ֥י בֽוֹ׃
KJVKiss the Son, lest he be angry, and ye perish from the way, when his wrath is kindled but a little. Blessed are all they that put their trust in him.
Kiss the Son, lest he be angry, and you perish in the way, for his wrath is quickly kindled. Blessed are all who take refuge in him.
