מִזְמ֥וֹר שִׁ֗יר חֲנֻכַּ֥ת הַבַּ֗יִת לְדָוִֽד׃
KJVA Psalm and Song at the dedication of the house of David.
A Psalm. A Song at the Dedication of the Temple. Of David.

אֲרוֹמִמְךָ֣ יְ֭הוָה כִּ֣י דִלִּיתָ֑נִי וְלֹא שִׂמַּ֥חְתָּ אֹיְבַ֗י לִֽי׃
KJVI will extol thee, O LORD; for thou hast lifted me up, and hast not made my foes to rejoice over me.
I will extol you, O LORD, for you have drawn me up and have not let my foes rejoice over me.

יְהוָ֣ה אֱ֭לֹהַי שִׁוַּ֥עְתִּי אֵ֗לֶיךָ וַתִּרְפָּאֵֽנִי׃
KJVO LORD my God, I cried unto thee, and thou hast healed me.
O LORD my God, I cried to you for help, and you have healed me.

יְהוָ֗ה הֶ֭עֱלִיתָ מִן שְׁא֑וֹל נַפְשִׁ֓י ׀ חִיִּיתַ֖נִי מִיָּֽרְדִי בֽוֹר׃
KJVO LORD, thou hast brought up my soul from the grave: thou hast kept me alive, that I should not go down to the pit.
O LORD, you have brought up my soul from Sheol; you restored me to life from among those who go down to the pit.

זַמְּר֣וּ לַ֭יהוָה חֲסִידָ֑יו וְ֝הוֹד֗וּ לְזֵ֣כֶר קָדְשֽׁוֹ׃
KJVSing unto the LORD, O ye saints of his, and give thanks at the remembrance of his holiness.
Sing praises to the LORD, O you his saints, and give thanks to his holy name.

כִּ֤י רֶ֣גַע בְּאַפּ֑וֹ חַ֝יִּ֗ים בִּרְצוֹנ֑וֹ בָּ֘עֶ֤רֶב יָלִ֣ין בֶּ֭כִי וְלַבֹּ֣קֶר רִנָּ֑ה׃
KJVFor his anger endureth but a moment; in his favour is life: weeping may endure for a night, but joy cometh in the morning.
For his anger is but for a moment, and his favor is for a lifetime. Weeping may tarry for the night, but joy comes with the morning.

וַאֲנִ֤י ׀ אָמַ֣רְתִּי בְשַׁלְוִ֑י בַּל אֶ֝מּ֗וֹט לְעוֹלָֽם׃
KJVAnd in my prosperity I said, I shall never be moved.
As for me, I said in my prosperity: I shall never be moved.

יְהוָ֓ה ׀ בִּרְצוֹנְךָ֮ הֶעֱמַ֪דְתָּ֫ לְהַרְרִ֥י עֹ֑ז הִסְתַּ֥רְתָּ פָ֝נֶ֗יךָ הָיִ֥יתִי נִבְהָֽל׃
KJVLORD, by thy favour thou hast made my mountain to stand strong: thou didst hide thy face, and I was troubled.
By your favor, O LORD, you made my mountain stand strong; you hid your face; I was dismayed.

אֵלֶ֣יךָ יְ֭הוָה אֶקְרָ֑א וְאֶל אֲ֝דֹנָ֗י אֶתְחַנָּֽן׃
KJVI cried to thee, O LORD; and unto the LORD I made supplication.
To you, O LORD, I cry, and to the Lord I plead for mercy:

מַה בֶּ֣צַע בְּדָמִי֮ בְּרִדְתִּ֪י אֶ֫ל שָׁ֥חַת הֲיוֹדְךָ֣ עָפָ֑ר הֲיַגִּ֥יד אֲמִתֶּֽךָ׃
KJVWhat profit is there in my blood, when I go down to the pit? Shall the dust praise thee? shall it declare thy truth?
What profit is there in my death, if I go down to the pit? Will the dust praise you? Will it tell of your faithfulness?

שְׁמַ֤ע יְהוָ֣ה וְחָנֵּ֑נִי יְ֝הוָ֗ה הֱיֵ֣ה עֹזֵ֣ר לִֽי׃
KJVHear, O LORD, and have mercy upon me: LORD, be thou my helper.
Hear, O LORD, and be merciful to me! O LORD, be my helper!

הָפַ֣כְתָּ מִסְפְּדִ֣י לְמָח֑וֹל לִ֗י פִּתַּ֥חְתָּ שַׂקִּ֗י וַתְּאַזְּרֵ֣נִי שִׂמְחָֽה׃
KJVThou hast turned for me my mourning into dancing: thou hast put off my sackcloth, and girded me with gladness;
You have turned for me my mourning into dancing; you have loosed my sackcloth and clothed me with gladness,

לְמַ֤עַן ׀ יְ֘זַמֶּרְךָ֤ כָב֗וֹד וְלֹ֣א יִדֹּ֑ם יְהוָ֥ה אֱ֝לֹהַ֗י לְעוֹלָ֥ם אוֹדֶֽךָּ׃
KJVTo the end that my glory may sing praise to thee, and not be silent. O LORD my God, I will give thanks unto thee for ever.
that my glory may sing your praise and not be silent. O LORD my God, I will give thanks to you forever!
