Psalms Chapter 33 | KJV & Biblical Hebrew

רַנְּנ֥וּ צַדִּיקִ֗ים בַּ֫יהוָ֥ה לַיְשָׁרִ֥ים נָאוָ֗ה תְהִלָּֽה׃

KJVRejoice in the LORD, O ye righteous: for praise is comely for the upright.

Shout for joy in the LORD, O you righteous! Praise befits the upright.

ה֘וֹד֤וּ לַ֭יהוָה בְּכִנּ֑וֹר בְּנֵ֥בֶל עָ֝שׂ֗וֹר זַמְּרוּ לֽוֹ׃

KJVPraise the LORD with harp: sing unto him with the psaltery and an instrument of ten strings.

Give thanks to the LORD with the lyre; make melody to him with the harp of ten strings!

שִׁ֣ירוּ ל֭וֹ שִׁ֣יר חָדָ֑שׁ הֵיטִ֥יבוּ נַ֝גֵּ֗ן בִּתְרוּעָֽה׃

KJVSing unto him a new song; play skilfully with a loud noise.

Sing to him a new song; play skillfully on the strings, with loud shouts.

כִּ֤י יָשָׁ֣ר דְּבַר יְ֭הוָה וְכָל מַעֲשֵׂ֑הוּ בֶּאֱמוּנָֽה׃

KJVFor the word of the LORD is right; and all his works are done in truth.

For the word of the LORD is upright, and all his work is done in faithfulness.

אֹהֵ֣ב צְדָקָ֣ה וּמִשְׁפָּ֑ט חֶ֥סֶד יְ֝הוָ֗ה מָלְאָ֥ה הָאָֽרֶץ׃

KJVHe loveth righteousness and judgment: the earth is full of the goodness of the LORD.

He loves righteousness and justice; the earth is full of the steadfast love of the LORD.

בִּדְבַ֣ר יְ֭הוָה שָׁמַ֣יִם נַעֲשׂ֑וּ וּבְר֥וּחַ פִּ֝֗יו כָּל צְבָאָֽם׃

KJVBy the word of the LORD were the heavens made; and all the host of them by the breath of his mouth.

By the word of the LORD the heavens were made, and by the breath of his mouth all their host.

כֹּנֵ֣ס כַּ֭נֵּד מֵ֣י הַיָּ֑ם נֹ֝תֵ֗ן בְּאֹצָר֥וֹת תְּה֗וֹמוֹת׃

KJVHe gathereth the waters of the sea together as an heap: he layeth up the depth in storehouses.

He gathers the waters of the sea as a heap; he puts the deeps in storehouses.

יִיר֣אוּ מֵ֭יהוָה כָּל הָאָ֑רֶץ מִמֶּ֥נּוּ יָ֝גוּר֗וּ כָּל יֹשְׁבֵ֥י תֵבֵֽל׃

KJVLet all the earth fear the LORD: let all the inhabitants of the world stand in awe of him.

Let all the earth fear the LORD; let all the inhabitants of the world stand in awe of him!

כִּ֤י ה֣וּא אָמַ֣ר וַיֶּ֑הִי ה֝֗וּא צִוָּ֥ה וַיַּעֲמֹֽד׃

KJVFor he spake, and it was done; he commanded, and it stood fast.

For he spoke, and it came to be; he commanded, and it stood firm.

יְהוָ֗ה הֵפִ֥יר עֲצַת גּ֑וֹיִם הֵנִ֥יא מַחְשְׁב֥וֹת עַמִּֽים׃

KJVThe LORD bringeth the counsel of the heathen to nought: he maketh the devices of the people of none effect.

The LORD brings the counsel of the nations to nothing; he frustrates the plans of the peoples.

עֲצַ֣ת יְ֭הוָה לְעוֹלָ֣ם תַּעֲמֹ֑ד מַחְשְׁב֥וֹת לִ֝בּ֗וֹ לְדֹ֣ר וָדֹֽר׃

KJVThe counsel of the LORD standeth for ever, the thoughts of his heart to all generations.

The counsel of the LORD stands forever, the plans of his heart to all generations.

אַשְׁרֵ֣י הַ֭גּוֹי אֲשֶׁ֣ר יְהוָ֣ה אֱלֹהָ֑יו הָ֝עָ֗ם בָּחַ֥ר לְנַחֲלָ֗ה לֽוֹ׃

KJVBlessed is the nation whose God is the LORD; and the people whom he hath chosen for his own inheritance.

Blessed is the nation whose God is the LORD, the people whom he has chosen as his heritage!

מִשָּׁמַ֗יִם הִ֭בִּיט יְהוָ֑ה רָאָ֥ה אֶת כָּל בְּנֵ֣י הָאָדָֽם׃

KJVThe LORD looketh from heaven; he beholdeth all the sons of men.

The LORD looks down from heaven; he sees all the children of man;

מִמְּכ֣וֹן שִׁ֭בְתּוֹ הִשְׁגִּ֑יחַ אֶ֝֗ל כָּל יֹשְׁבֵ֥י הָאָֽרֶץ׃

KJVFrom the place of his habitation he looketh upon all the inhabitants of the earth.

from where he sits enthroned he looks out on all the inhabitants of the earth,

15

הַיֹּצֵ֣ר יַ֭חַד לִבָּ֑ם הַ֝מֵּבִ֗ין אֶ֣ל כָּל מַעֲשֵׂיהֶֽם׃

KJVHe fashioneth their hearts alike; he considereth all their works.

he who fashions the hearts of them all and observes all their deeds.

אֵין הַ֭מֶּלֶךְ נוֹשָׁ֣ע בְּרָב חָ֑יִל גִּ֝בּ֗וֹר לֹא יִנָּצֵ֥ל בְּרָב כֹּֽחַ׃

KJVThere is no king saved by the multitude of an host: a mighty man is not delivered by much strength.

The king is not saved by his great army; a warrior is not delivered by his great strength.

17

שֶׁ֣קֶר הַ֭סּוּס לִתְשׁוּעָ֑ה וּבְרֹ֥ב חֵ֝יל֗וֹ לֹ֣א יְמַלֵּֽט׃

KJVAn horse is a vain thing for safety: neither shall he deliver any by his great strength.

The war horse is a false hope for salvation, and by its great might it cannot rescue.

18

הִנֵּ֤ה עֵ֣ין יְהוָ֣ה אֶל יְרֵאָ֑יו לַ֝מְיַחֲלִ֗ים לְחַסְדּֽוֹ׃

KJVBehold, the eye of the LORD is upon them that fear him, upon them that hope in his mercy;

Behold, the eye of the LORD is on those who fear him, on those who hope in his steadfast love,

19

לְהַצִּ֣יל מִמָּ֣וֶת נַפְשָׁ֑ם וּ֝לְחַיּוֹת֗וֹ בָּרָעָֽב׃

KJVTo deliver their soul from death, and to keep them alive in famine.

that he may deliver their soul from death and keep them alive in famine.

20

נַפְשֵׁ֗נוּ חִכְּתָ֣ה לַ֭יהוָה עֶזְרֵ֥נוּ וּמָגִנֵּ֗נוּ הֽוּא׃

KJVOur soul waiteth for the LORD: he is our help and our shield.

Our soul waits for the LORD; he is our help and our shield.

21

כִּי בֽוֹ יִשְׂמַ֣ח לִבֵּ֑נוּ כִּ֥י בְשֵׁ֥ם קָ֝דְשׁ֗וֹ בָּטָֽחְנוּ׃

KJVFor our heart shall rejoice in him, because we have trusted in his holy name.

For our heart is glad in him, because we trust in his holy name.

22

יְהִ֤י חַסְדְּךָ֣ יְהוָ֣ה עָלֵ֑ינוּ כַּ֝אֲשֶׁ֗ר יִחַ֥לְנוּ לָֽךְ׃

KJVLet thy mercy, O LORD, be upon us, according as we hope in thee.

Let your steadfast love, O LORD, be upon us, even as we hope in you.
