Acts 1:22

ἀρξάμενος ἀπὸ τοῦ βαπτίσματος Ἰωάννου, ἕως τῆς ἡμέρας ἧς ἀνελήφθη ἀφ' ἡμῶν, μάρτυρα τῆς ἀναστάσεως αὐτοῦ γενέσθαι σὺν ἡμῖν ἕνα τούτων.
arxamenos apo toy baptismatos Iōannoy, eōs tēs ēmeras ēs anelēphthē aph' ēmōn, martyra tēs anastaseōs aytoy genesthai syn ēmin ena toytōn.
King James Version (KJV)

Beginning from the baptism of John, unto that same day that he was taken up from us, must one be ordained to be a witness with us of his resurrection.

Modern English

beginning from John's baptism to the time when Jesus was taken up from us. For one of these must become a witness with us of his resurrection.
