Acts 1:3

οἷς καὶ παρέστησεν ἑαυτὸν ζῶντα μετὰ τὸ παθεῖν αὐτὸν ἐν πολλοῖς τεκμηρίοις, δι' ἡμερῶν τεσσαράκοντα ὀπτανόμενος αὐτοῖς, καὶ λέγων τὰ περὶ τῆς βασιλείας τοῦ Θεοῦ.
ois kai parestēsen eayton zōnta meta to pathein ayton en pollois tekmēriois, di' ēmerōn tessarakonta optanomenos aytois, kai legōn ta peri tēs basileias toy Theoy.

To whom also he shewed himself alive after his passion by many infallible proofs, being seen of them forty days, and speaking of the things pertaining to the kingdom of God:

Modern English

After his suffering, he presented himself to them with many convincing proofs that he was alive. He appeared to them over a period of forty days, speaking about the kingdom of God.
