Acts 12:23

Παραχρῆμα δὲ ἐπάταξεν αὐτὸν ἄγγελος Κυρίου, ἀνθ' ὧν οὐκ ἔδωκεν δόξαν τῷ Θεῷ· καὶ γενόμενος σκωληκόβρωτος, ἐξέψυξεν.
Parachrēma de epataxen ayton aggelos Kyrioy, anth' ōn oyk edōken doxan tō Theō· kai genomenos skōlēkobrōtos, exepsyxen.
King James Version (KJV)

And immediately the angel of the Lord smote him, because he gave not God the glory: and he was eaten of worms, and gave up the ghost.

Modern English

Immediately, because Herod did not give praise to God, an angel of the Lord struck him down, and he was eaten by worms and died.
