Acts 2:24

ὃν ὁ Θεὸς ἀνέστησεν, λύσας τὰς ὠδῖνας τοῦ θανάτου, καθότι οὐκ ἦν δυνατὸν κρατεῖσθαι αὐτὸν ὑπ' αὐτοῦ.
on o Theos anestēsen, lysas tas ōdinas toy thanatoy, kathoti oyk ēn dynaton krateisthai ayton yp' aytoy.
King James Version (KJV)

Whom God hath raised up, having loosed the pains of death: because it was not possible that he should be holden of it.

Modern English

But God raised him from the dead, freeing him from the agony of death, because it was impossible for death to keep its hold on him.
