Acts 2:41

Οἱ μὲν οὖν ἀσμένως ἀποδεξάμενοι τὸν λόγον αὐτοῦ ἐβαπτίσθησαν· καὶ προσετέθησαν τῇ ἡμέρᾳ ἐκείνῃ ψυχαὶ ὡσεὶ τρισχίλιαι.

Oi men oyn asmenōs apodexamenoi ton logon aytoy ebaptisthēsan· kai prosetethēsan tē ēmera ekeinē psychai ōsei trischiliai.

King James Version (KJV)

Then they that gladly received his word were baptized: and the same day there were added unto them about three thousand souls.

Modern English

Those who accepted his message were baptized, and about three thousand were added to their number that day.
