Acts 23:20

Εἶπεν δὲ ὅτι Οἱ Ἰουδαῖοι συνέθεντο τοῦ ἐρωτῆσαί σε, ὅπως αὔριον εἰς τὸ συνέδριον καταγάγῃς τὸν Παῦλον, ὡς μέλλοντά τι ἀκριβέστερον πυνθάνεσθαι περὶ αὐτοῦ.
Eipen de oti Oi Ioydaioi synethento toy erōtēsai se, opōs ayrion eis to synedrion katagagēs ton Paylon, ōs mellonta ti akribesteron pynthanesthai peri aytoy.
King James Version (KJV)

And he said, The Jews have agreed to desire thee that thou wouldest bring down Paul to morrow into the council, as though they would enquire somewhat of him more perfectly.

Modern English

He said: The Jews have agreed to ask you to bring Paul before the Sanhedrin tomorrow on the pretext of wanting more accurate information about him.
