Acts 28:2

Οἱ δὲ βάρβαροι παρεῖχον οὐ τὴν τυχοῦσαν φιλανθρωπίαν ἡμῖν· ἀνάψαντες γὰρ πυράν, προσελάβοντο πάντας ἡμᾶς, διὰ τὸν ὑετὸν τὸν ἐφεστῶτα, καὶ διὰ τὸ ψῦχος.
Oi de barbaroi pareichon oy tēn tychoysan philanthrōpian ēmin· anapsantes gar pyran, proselabonto pantas ēmas, dia ton yeton ton ephestōta, kai dia to psychos.

And the barbarous people shewed us no little kindness: for they kindled a fire, and received us every one, because of the present rain, and because of the cold.

Modern English

The islanders showed us unusual kindness. They built a fire and welcomed us all because it was raining and cold.
