Acts 28:27

Epachynthē gar ē kardia toy laoy toytoy, kai tois ōsin bareōs ēkoysan, kai toys ophthalmoys aytōn ekammysan· mēpote idōsin tois ophthalmois, kai tois ōsin akoysōsin, kai tē kardia synōsin, kai epistrepsōsin, kai iasomai aytoys.
King James Version (KJV)

For the heart of this people is waxed gross, and their ears are dull of hearing, and their eyes have they closed; lest they should see with their eyes, and hear with their ears, and understand with their heart, and should be converted, and I should heal them.

Modern English

For this people's heart has become calloused; they hardly hear with their ears, and they have closed their eyes. Otherwise they might see with their eyes, hear with their ears, understand with their hearts and turn, and I would heal them.
