Acts 6:12

Συνεκίνησάν τε τὸν λαὸν καὶ τοὺς πρεσβυτέρους καὶ τοὺς γραμματεῖς, καὶ ἐπιστάντες συνήρπασαν αὐτόν, καὶ ἤγαγον εἰς τὸ συνέδριον,
Synekinēsan te ton laon kai toys presbyteroys kai toys grammateis, kai epistantes synērpasan ayton, kai ēgagon eis to synedrion,

And they stirred up the people, and the elders, and the scribes, and came upon him, and caught him, and brought him to the council,

Modern English

So they stirred up the people and the elders and the teachers of the law. They seized Stephen and brought him before the Sanhedrin.
