Acts 7:4

Τότε ἐξελθὼν ἐκ γῆς Χαλδαίων κατῴκησεν ἐν Χαρράν· κἀκεῖθεν, μετὰ τὸ ἀποθανεῖν τὸν πατέρα αὐτοῦ, μετῴκισεν αὐτὸν εἰς τὴν γῆν ταύτην εἰς ἣν ὑμεῖς νῦν κατοικεῖτε·
Tote exelthōn ek gēs Chaldaiōn katōkēsen en Charran· kakeithen, meta to apothanein ton patera aytoy, metōkisen ayton eis tēn gēn taytēn eis ēn ymeis nyn katoikeite·
King James Version (KJV)

Then came he out of the land of the Chaldaeans, and dwelt in Charran: and from thence, when his father was dead, he removed him into this land, wherein ye now dwell.

Modern English

So he left the land of the Chaldeans and settled in Harran. After the death of his father, God sent him to this land where you are now living.
