Acts 9:36

Ἐν Ἰόππῃ δέ τις ἦν μαθήτρια ὀνόματι Ταβηθά, ἣ διερμηνευομένη λέγεται Δορκάς· αὕτη ἦν πλήρης ἀγαθῶν ἔργων καὶ ἐλεημοσυνῶν ὧν ἐποίει.
En Ioppē de tis ēn mathētria onomati Tabētha, ē diermēneyomenē legetai Dorkas· aytē ēn plērēs agathōn ergōn kai eleēmosynōn ōn epoiei.
King James Version (KJV)

Now there was at Joppa a certain disciple named Tabitha, which by interpretation is called Dorcas: this woman was full of good works and almsdeeds which she did.

Modern English

In Joppa there was a disciple named Tabitha (in Greek her name is Dorcas); she was always doing good and helping the poor.
