Matthew 19:8

λεγει αυτοις οτι μωσης προς την σκληροκαρδιαν υμων επετρεψεν υμιν απολυσαι τας γυναικας υμων απ αρχης δε ου γεγονεν ουτως

legei aytois oti mōsēs pros tēn sklērokardian ymōn epetrepsen ymin apolysai tas gynaikas ymōn ap archēs de oy gegonen oytōs

He saith unto them, Moses because of the hardness of your hearts suffered you to put away your wives: but from the beginning it was not so.

Modern English

He said to them, “Moses, because of the hardness of your hearts, allowed you to divorce your wives, but from the beginning it has not been so.
