Philippians 2:8

καὶ σχήματι εὑρεθεὶς ὡς ἄνθρωπος ἐταπείνωσεν ἑαυτὸν γενόμενος ὑπήκοος μέχρι θανάτου, θανάτου δὲ σταυροῦ.
kai schēmati eyretheis ōs anthrōpos etapeinōsen eayton genomenos ypēkoos mechri thanatoy, thanatoy de stayroy.
King James Version (KJV)

And being found in fashion as a man, he humbled himself, and became obedient unto death, even the death of the cross.

Modern English

And being found in appearance as a man, he humbled himself by becoming obedient to death — even death on a cross!
