Exodus Chapter 25 — Instructions for the Tabernacle — Ark, Table, Menorah | KJV & Biblical Hebrew

וַיְדַבֵּר יְהוָה אֶל מֹשֶׁה לֵּאמֹר

KJVAnd the LORD spake unto Moses, saying,

The LORD said to Moses,

2

דַּבֵּר אֶל בְּנֵי יִשְׂרָאֵל

KJVSpeak unto the children of Israel, that they bring me an offering: of every man that giveth it willingly with his heart ye shall take my offering.

Speak to the people of Israel, that they take for me a contribution. From every man whose heart moves him you shall receive the contribution for me.

3

וְזֹאת הַתְּרוּמָה אֲשֶׁר תִּקְחוּ

KJVAnd this is the offering which ye shall take of them; gold, and silver, and brass,

And this is the contribution that you shall receive from them: gold, silver, and bronze,

4

וּתְכֵלֶת וְאַרְגָּמָן

KJVAnd blue, and purple, and scarlet, and fine linen, and goats' hair,

blue and purple and scarlet yarns and fine twined linen, goats' hair,

5

וְעֹרֹת אֵילִם מְאָדָּמִים

KJVAnd rams' skins dyed red, and badgers' skins, and shittim wood,

tanned rams' skins, goatskins, acacia wood,

6

שֶׁמֶן לַמָּאֹר

KJVOil for the light, spices for anointing oil, and for sweet incense,

oil for the lamps, spices for the anointing oil and for the fragrant incense,

7

אַבְנֵי שֹׁהַם

KJVOnyx stones, and stones to be set in the ephod, and in the breastplate.

onyx stones, and stones for setting, for the ephod and for the breastpiece.

8

וְעָשׂוּ לִי מִקְדָּשׁ

KJVAnd let them make me a sanctuary; that I may dwell among them.

And let them make me a sanctuary, that I may dwell in their midst.

9

כְּכֹל אֲשֶׁר אֲנִי מַרְאֶה

KJVAccording to all that I shew thee, after the pattern of the tabernacle, and the pattern of all the instruments thereof, even so shall ye make it.

Exactly as I show you concerning the pattern of the tabernacle, and of all its furniture, so you shall make it.

10

וְעָשׂוּ אֲרוֹן עֲצֵי שִׁטִּים

KJVAnd they shall make an ark of shittim wood: two cubits and a half shall be the length thereof, and a cubit and a half the breadth thereof, and a cubit and a half the height thereof.

They shall make an ark of acacia wood. Two cubits and a half shall be its length, a cubit and a half its breadth, and a cubit and a half its height.

11

וְצִפִּיתָ אֹתוֹ זָהָב טָהוֹר

KJVAnd thou shalt overlay it with pure gold, within and without shalt thou overlay it, and shalt make upon it a crown of gold round about.

You shall overlay it with pure gold, inside and outside shall you overlay it, and you shall make on it a molding of gold around it.

12

וְיָצַקְתָּ לוֹ אַרְבַּע טַבְּעֹת זָהָב

KJVAnd thou shalt cast four rings of gold for it, and put them in the four corners thereof; and two rings shall be in the one side of it, and two rings in the other side of it.

You shall cast four rings of gold for it and put them on its four feet, two rings on the one side of it, and two rings on the other side of it.

13

וְעָשִׂיתָ בַדֵּי עֲצֵי שִׁטִּים

KJVAnd thou shalt make staves of shittim wood, and overlay them with gold.

You shall make poles of acacia wood and overlay them with gold.

14

וְהֵבֵאתָ אֶת הַבַּדִּים

KJVAnd thou shalt put the staves into the rings by the sides of the ark, that the ark may be borne with them.

And you shall put the poles into the rings on the sides of the ark to carry the ark by them.

15

בְּטַבְּעֹת הָאָרֹן יִהְיוּ הַבַּדִּים

KJVThe staves shall be in the rings of the ark: they shall not be taken from it.

The poles shall remain in the rings of the ark; they shall not be taken from it.

16

וְנָתַתָּ אֶל הָאָרֹן

KJVAnd thou shalt put into the ark the testimony which I shall give thee.

And into the ark you shall put the testimony that I shall give you.

17

וְעָשִׂיתָ כַפֹּרֶת זָהָב טָהוֹר

KJVAnd thou shalt make a mercy seat of pure gold: two cubits and a half shall be the length thereof, and a cubit and a half the breadth thereof.

You shall make a mercy seat of pure gold. Two cubits and a half shall be its length, and a cubit and a half its breadth.

18

וְעָשִׂיתָ שְׁנַיִם כְּרֻבִים זָהָב

KJVAnd thou shalt make two cherubims of gold, of beaten work shalt thou make them, in the two ends of the mercy seat.

And you shall make two cherubim of gold; of hammered work shall you make them, on the two ends of the mercy seat.

19

וַעֲשֵׂה כְּרוּב אֶחָד מִקָּצָה

KJVAnd make one cherub on the one end, and the other cherub on the other end: even of the mercy seat shall ye make the cherubims on the two ends thereof.

Make one cherub on the one end, and one cherub on the other end. Of one piece with the mercy seat shall you make the cherubim on its two ends.

20

וְהָיוּ הַכְּרֻבִים פֹּרְשֵׂי כְנָפַיִם

KJVAnd the cherubims shall stretch forth their wings on high, covering the mercy seat with their wings, and their faces shall look one to another; toward the mercy seat shall the faces of the cherubims be.

The cherubim shall spread out their wings above, overshadowing the mercy seat with their wings, their faces one to another; toward the mercy seat shall the faces of the cherubim be.

21

וְנָתַתָּ אֶת הַכַּפֹּרֶת

KJVAnd thou shalt put the mercy seat above upon the ark; and in the ark thou shalt put the testimony that I shall give thee.

And you shall put the mercy seat on the top of the ark, and into the ark you shall put the testimony that I shall give you.

22

וְנוֹעַדְתִּי לְךָ שָׁם

KJVAnd there I will meet with thee, and I will commune with thee from above the mercy seat, from between the two cherubims which are upon the ark of the testimony, of all things which I will give thee in commandment unto the children of Israel.

There I will meet with you, and from above the mercy seat, from between the two cherubim that are on the ark of the testimony, I will speak with you about all that I will give you in commandment for the people of Israel.

23

וְעָשִׂיתָ שֻׁלְחָן עֲצֵי שִׁטִּים

KJVThou shalt also make a table of shittim wood: two cubits shall be the length thereof, and a cubit the breadth thereof, and a cubit and a half the height thereof.

You shall make a table of acacia wood. Two cubits shall be its length, a cubit its breadth, and a cubit and a half its height.

24

וְצִפִּיתָ אֹתוֹ זָהָב טָהוֹר

KJVAnd thou shalt overlay it with pure gold, and make thereto a crown of gold round about.

You shall overlay it with pure gold and make a molding of gold around it.

25

וְעָשִׂיתָ לּוֹ מִסְגֶּרֶת טֹפַח

KJVAnd thou shalt make unto it a border of an hand breadth round about, and thou shalt make a golden crown to the border thereof round about.

And you shall make a rim around it a handbreadth wide, and a molding of gold around the rim.

26

וְעָשִׂיתָ לּוֹ אַרְבַּע טַבְּעֹת זָהָב

KJVAnd thou shalt make for it four rings of gold, and put the rings in the four corners that are on the four feet thereof.

And you shall make for it four rings of gold, and fasten the rings to the four corners at its four legs.

27

לְעֻמַּת הַמִּסְגֶּרֶת תִּהְיֶיןָ הַטַּבָּעֹת

KJVOver against the border shall the rings be for places of the staves to bear the table.

The rings shall be close to the frame as holders for the poles to carry the table.

28

וְעָשִׂיתָ אֶת הַבַּדִּים

KJVAnd thou shalt make the staves of shittim wood, and overlay them with gold, that the table may be borne with them.

You shall make the poles of acacia wood, and overlay them with gold, and the table shall be carried with these.

29

וְעָשִׂיתָ קְּעָרֹתָיו וְכַפֹּתָיו

KJVAnd thou shalt make the dishes thereof, and spoons thereof, and covers thereof, and bowls thereof, to cover withal: of pure gold shalt thou make them.

And you shall make its plates and dishes for incense, and its flagons and bowls with which to pour drink offerings; you shall make them of pure gold.

30

וְנָתַתָּ עַל הַשֻּׁלְחָן

KJVAnd thou shalt set upon the table shewbread before me alway.

And you shall set the bread of the Presence on the table before me regularly.

31

וְעָשִׂיתָ מְנֹרַת זָהָב טָהוֹר

KJVAnd thou shalt make a candlestick of pure gold: of beaten work shall the candlestick be made: his shaft, and his branches, his bowls, his knops, and his flowers, shall be of the same.

You shall make a lampstand of pure gold. The lampstand shall be made of hammered work: its base, its stem, its cups, its calyxes, and its flowers shall be of one piece with it.

32

וְשִׁשָּׁה קָנִים

KJVAnd six branches shall come out of the sides of it; three branches of the candlestick out of the one side, and three branches of the candlestick out of the other side.

And there shall be six branches going out of its sides, three branches of the lampstand out of one side of it and three branches of the lampstand out of the other side of it;

33

שְׁלֹשָׁה גְבִעִים מְשֻׁקָּדִים

KJVThree bowls made like unto almonds, with a knop and a flower in one branch; and three bowls made like almonds in the other branch, with a knop and a flower: so in the six branches that come out of the candlestick.

three cups made like almond blossoms, each with calyx and flower, on one branch, and three cups made like almond blossoms, each with calyx and flower, on the other branch — so for the six branches going out of the lampstand.

34

וּבַמְּנֹרָה אַרְבָּעָה גְבִעִים

KJVAnd in the candlestick shall be four bowls made like unto almonds, with their knops and their flowers.

And on the lampstand itself there shall be four cups made like almond blossoms, with their calyxes and flowers,

35

וְכַפְתֹּר תַּחַת שְׁנֵי הַקָּנִים

KJVAnd there shall be a knop under two branches of the same, and a knop under two branches of the same, and a knop under two branches of the same, according to the six branches that proceed out of the candlestick.

and a calyx of one piece with it under each pair of the six branches going out of it.

36

כַּפְתֹּרֵיהֶם וּקְנֹתָם מִמֶּנָּה יִהְיוּ

KJVTheir knops and their branches shall be of the same: all it shall be one beaten work of pure gold.

Their calyxes and their branches shall be of one piece with it, the whole of it a single piece of hammered work of pure gold.

37

וְעָשִׂיתָ אֶת נֵרֹתֶיהָ שִׁבְעָה

KJVAnd thou shalt make the seven lamps thereof: and they shall light the lamps thereof, that they may give light over against it.

And you shall make its seven lamps. And the lamps shall be set up so as to give light on the space in front of it.

38

וּמַלְקָחֶיהָ וּמַחְתֹּתֶיהָ זָהָב טָהוֹר

KJVAnd the tongs thereof, and the snuffdishes thereof, shall be of pure gold.

Its tongs and their trays shall be of pure gold.

39

כִּכָּר זָהָב טָהוֹר

KJVOf a talent of pure gold shall he make it, with all these vessels.

It shall be made, with all these utensils, out of a talent of pure gold.

40

וּרְאֵה וַעֲשֵׂה

KJVAnd look that thou make them after their pattern, which was shewed thee in the mount.

And see that you make them after the pattern for them, which is being shown you on the mountain.
