Exodus Chapter 35 — Sabbath Reminder — Freewill Gifts for the Tabernacle | KJV & Biblical Hebrew

וַיַּקְהֵל מֹשֶׁה אֶת כָּל עֲדַת בְּנֵי יִשְׂרָאֵל

KJVAnd Moses gathered all the congregation of the children of Israel together, and said unto them, These are the words which the LORD hath commanded, that ye should do them.

Moses assembled all the congregation of the people of Israel and said to them, "These are the things that the LORD has commanded you to do."

שֵׁשֶׁת יָמִים תֵּעָשֶׂה מְלָאכָה

KJVSix days shall work be done, but on the seventh day there shall be to you an holy day, a sabbath of rest to the LORD: whosoever doeth work therein shall be put to death.

Six days work shall be done, but on the seventh day you shall have a Sabbath of solemn rest, holy to the LORD. Whoever does any work on it shall be put to death.

לֹא תְבַעֲרוּ אֵשׁ

KJVYe shall kindle no fire throughout your habitations upon the sabbath day.

You shall kindle no fire in all your dwelling places on the Sabbath day.

4

וַיֹּאמֶר מֹשֶׁה אֶל כָּל עֲדַת בְּנֵי יִשְׂרָאֵל

KJVAnd Moses spake unto all the congregation of the children of Israel, saying, This is the thing which the LORD commanded, saying,

Moses said to all the congregation of the people of Israel, "This is the thing that the LORD has commanded."

קְחוּ מֵאִתְּכֶם תְּרוּמָה

KJVTake ye from among you an offering unto the LORD: whosoever is of a willing heart, let him bring it, an offering of the LORD; gold, and silver, and brass,

Take from among you a contribution to the LORD. Whoever is of a generous heart, let him bring the LORD's contribution: gold, silver, and bronze;

וּתְכֵלֶת וְאַרְגָּמָן

KJVAnd blue, and purple, and scarlet, and fine linen, and goats' hair,

blue and purple and scarlet yarns and fine linen and goats' hair;

7

וְעֹרֹת אֵילִם מְאָדָּמִים

KJVAnd rams' skins dyed red, and badgers' skins, and shittim wood,

tanned rams' skins and goatskins and acacia wood,

8

וְשֶׁמֶן לַמָּאוֹר

KJVAnd oil for the light, and spices for anointing oil, and for the sweet incense,

and oil for the light, spices for the anointing oil and for the fragrant incense,

9

וְאַבְנֵי שֹׁהַם

KJVAnd onyx stones, and stones to be set for the ephod, and for the breastplate.

and onyx stones and stones for setting, for the ephod and for the breastpiece.

10

וְכָל חֲכַם לֵב בָּכֶם יָבֹאוּ

KJVAnd every wise hearted among you shall come, and make all that the LORD hath commanded.

Let every skillful craftsman among you come and make all that the LORD has commanded:

11

אֶת הַמִּשְׁכָּן אֶת אָהֳלוֹ

KJVThe tabernacle, his tent, and his covering, his taches, and his boards, his bars, his pillars, and his sockets,

the tabernacle, its tent and its covering, its hooks and its frames, its bars, its pillars, and its bases;

12

אֶת הָאָרֹן וְאֶת בַּדָּיו

KJVThe ark, and the staves thereof, with the mercy seat, and the vail of the covering,

the ark with its poles, and the mercy seat, and the veil of the screen;

13

אֶת הַשֻּׁלְחָן וְאֶת בַּדָּיו

KJVThe table, and his staves, and all his vessels, and the shewbread,

the table with its poles and all its utensils, and the bread of the Presence;

14

וְאֵת מְנֹרַת הַמָּאוֹר

KJVAnd the candlestick for the light, and his furniture, and his lamps, with the oil for the light,

the lampstand also for the light, with its utensils and its lamps, and the oil for the light;

15

וְאֵת מִזְבַּח הַקְּטֹרֶת

KJVAnd the incense altar, and his staves, and the anointing oil, and the sweet incense, and the hanging for the door at the entering in of the tabernacle,

and the altar of incense, with its poles, and the anointing oil and the fragrant incense, and the screen for the door, at the door of the tabernacle;

אֵת מִזְבַּח הָעֹלָה

KJVThe altar of burnt offering, with his brasen grate, his staves, and all his vessels, the laver and his foot,

the altar of burnt offering, with its grating of bronze, its poles, and all its utensils, the basin and its stand;

17

אֶת קַלְעֵי הֶחָצֵר

KJVThe hangings of the court, his pillars, and their sockets, and the hanging for the door of the court,

the hangings of the court, its pillars and its bases, and the screen for the gate of the court;

18

אֶת יִתְדֹת הַמִּשְׁכָּן

KJVThe pins of the tabernacle, and the pins of the court, and their cords,

the pegs of the tabernacle and the pegs of the court, and their cords;

19

אֶת בִּגְדֵי הַשְּׂרָד

KJVThe cloths of service, to do service in the holy place, the holy garments for Aaron the priest, and the garments of his sons, to minister in the priest's office.

the finely worked garments for ministering in the Holy Place, the holy garments for Aaron the priest, and the garments of his sons, for their service as priests.

20

וַיֵּצְאוּ כָּל עֲדַת בְּנֵי יִשְׂרָאֵל

KJVAnd all the congregation of the children of Israel departed from the presence of Moses.

Then all the congregation of the people of Israel departed from the presence of Moses.

21

וַיָּבֹאוּ כָּל אִישׁ אֲשֶׁר נְשָׂאוֹ לִבּוֹ

KJVAnd they came, every one whose heart stirred him up, and every one whom his spirit made willing, and they brought the LORD's offering to the work of the tabernacle of the congregation, and for all his service, and for the holy garments.

And they came, everyone whose heart stirred him, and everyone whose spirit moved him, and brought the LORD's contribution to be used for the tent of meeting, and for all its service, and for the holy garments.

22

וַיָּבֹאוּ הָאֲנָשִׁים עַל הַנָּשִׁים

KJVAnd they came, both men and women, as many as were willing hearted, and brought bracelets, and earrings, and rings, and tablets, all jewels of gold: and every man that offered offered an offering of gold unto the LORD.

So they came, both men and women. All who were of a willing heart brought brooches and earrings and signet rings and armlets, all sorts of gold objects, every man dedicating an offering of gold to the LORD.

23

וְכָל אִישׁ אֲשֶׁר נִמְצָא אִתּוֹ

KJVAnd every man, with whom was found blue, and purple, and scarlet, and fine linen, and goats' hair, and red skins of rams, and badgers' skins, brought them.

And every one who possessed blue or purple or scarlet yarns or fine linen or goats' hair or tanned rams' skins or goatskins brought them.

24

כָּל מֵרִים תְּרוּמַת כֶּסֶף וּנְחֹשֶׁת

KJVEvery one that did offer an offering of silver and brass brought the LORD's offering: and every man, with whom was found shittim wood for any work of the service, brought it.

Everyone who could make a contribution of silver or bronze brought it as the LORD's contribution. And every one who possessed acacia wood of any use in the work brought it.

25

וְכָל אִשָּׁה חַכְמַת לֵב בְּיָדֶיהָ

KJVAnd all the women that were wise hearted did spin with their hands, and brought that which they had spun, both of blue, and of purple, and of scarlet, and of fine linen.

And every skillful woman spun with her hands, and they all brought what they had spun in blue and purple and scarlet yarns and fine twined linen.

26

וְכָל הַנָּשִׁים אֲשֶׁר נָשָׂא לִבָּן

KJVAnd all the women whose heart stirred them up in wisdom spun goats' hair.

And all the women whose hearts stirred them to use their skill spun the goats' hair.

27

וְהַנְּשִׂאִים הֵבִיאוּ

KJVAnd the rulers brought onyx stones, and stones to be set, for the ephod, and for the breastplate.

And the leaders brought onyx stones and stones to be set, for the ephod and for the breastpiece,

28

וְאֶת הַבֹּשֶׂם

KJVAnd spice, and oil for the light, and for the anointing oil, and for the sweet incense.

and spices and oil for the light, and for the anointing oil, and for the fragrant incense.

29

כָּל אִישׁ וְאִשָּׁה

KJVThe children of Israel brought a willing offering unto the LORD, every man and woman, whose heart made them willing to bring for all manner of work, which the LORD had commanded to be made by the hand of Moses.

All the men and women, the people of Israel, whose heart moved them to bring anything for the work that the LORD had commanded by Moses to be done brought it as a freewill offering to the LORD.

30

וַיֹּאמֶר מֹשֶׁה אֶל בְּנֵי יִשְׂרָאֵל

KJVAnd Moses said unto the children of Israel, See, the LORD hath called by name Bezaleel the son of Uri, the son of Hur, of the tribe of Judah.

Then Moses said to the people of Israel, "See, the LORD has called by name Bezalel the son of Uri, son of Hur, of the tribe of Judah;"

31

וַיְמַלֵּא אֹתוֹ רוּחַ אֱלֹהִים

KJVAnd he hath filled him with the spirit of God, in wisdom, in understanding, and in knowledge, and in all manner of workmanship.

and he has filled him with the Spirit of God, with skill, with intelligence, with knowledge, and with all craftsmanship,

32

וְלַחְשֹׁב מַחֲשָׁבֹת

KJVAnd to devise curious works, to work in gold, and in silver, and in brass,

to devise artistic designs, to work in gold and silver and bronze,

33

וּבַחֲרֹשֶׁת אֶבֶן לְמַלֹּאת

KJVAnd in the cutting of stones, to set them, and in carving of wood, to make any manner of cunning work.

in cutting stones for setting and in carving wood, for work in every skilled craft.

34

וּלְהוֹרֹת נָתַן בְּלִבּוֹ

KJVAnd he hath put in his heart that he may teach, both he, and Aholiab, the son of Ahisamach, of the tribe of Dan.

And he has inspired him to teach, both him and Oholiab the son of Ahisamach of the tribe of Dan.

35

מִלֵּא אֹתָם חָכְמַת לֵב

KJVThem hath he filled with wisdom of heart, to work all manner of work, of the engraver, and of the cunning workman, and of the embroiderer, in blue, and in purple, in scarlet, and in fine linen, and of the weaver, even of them that do any work, and of those that devise cunning work.

He has filled them with skill to do every sort of work done by an engraver or by a designer or by an embroiderer in blue and purple and scarlet yarns and fine twined linen, or by a weaver — by any sort of workman or skilled designer.
