וַיֹּ֣אמֶר דָּוִ֗יד אֶעֱשֶׂה חֶ֤סֶד עִם חָנוּן֙ בֶּן נָחָ֔שׁ כִּ֥י עָשָׂ֛ה אָבִ֖יו עִמִּ֣י חָ֑סֶד וַיִּשְׁלַ֤ח דָּוִיד֙ מַלְאָכִ֔ים לְנַחֲמ֣וֹ עַ֣ל אָבִ֔יו וַיָּבֹ֣אוּ עַבְדֵ֣י דָוִ֔יד אֶ֥ל אֶ֖רֶץ בְּנֵ֥י עַמּֽוֹן לְנַחֲמ֖וֹ׃
And David said, I will shew kindness unto Hanun the son of Nahash, because his father shewed kindness to me. And David sent messengers to comfort him concerning his father. So the servants of David came into the land of the children of Ammon to Hanun, to comfort him.
David dijo: Trataré bondadosamente a Hanún hijo de Nahas, porque su padre me trató con bondad. Así que David envió mensajeros para consolarlo por la muerte de su padre. Cuando los siervos de David llegaron al territorio de los amonitas, fueron a ver a Hanún para consolarlo.
