וַיֹּ֣אמֶר יוֹאָ֡ב יוֹסֵ֣ף יְ֠הוָה עַ֣ל עַמּ֤וֹ כָהֵם֙ מֵאָ֣ה פְעָמִ֔ים הֲלֹ֤א אֲדֹנִי הַמֶּ֙לֶךְ֙ כֻּלָּ֣ם לַאדֹנִ֣י לַעֲבָדִ֔ים לָ֥מָּה יְבַקֵּ֛שׁ זֹ֥את אֲדֹנִ֖י לָ֣מָּה יִהְיֶ֥ה לְאַשְׁמָ֖ה לְיִשְׂרָאֵֽל׃
And Joab answered, The LORD make his people an hundred times so many more as they be: but, my lord the king, are they not all my lord's servants? why then doth my lord require this thing? why will he be a cause of trespass to Israel?
Pero Joab respondió: ¡Que el SEÑOR multiplique su pueblo cien veces más! Mi señor el rey, ¿acaso no son todos ellos siervos de mi señor? ¿Por qué requiere esto mi señor? ¿Por qué ha de ser causa de culpa para Israel?
