וַיִּבְחַ֣ר יְהוָ֣ה אֱלֹהֵ֣י יִשְׂרָאֵ֣ל בִּ֡י מִכֹּ֣ל בֵּ֣ית אָבִ֣י לִהְי֣וֹת לְ֠מֶ֠לֶךְ עַל יִשְׂרָאֵ֣ל לְעוֹלָ֗ם כִּ֣י בִ֣יהוּדָה בָחַ֡ר לְנָגִ֣יד וּבְבֵ֣ית יְהוּדָ֣ה בֵּ֣ית אָבִ֣י וּבִבְנֵ֣י אָבִ֣י בִּ֣י רָצָ֣ה לְהַמְלִ֣יךְ עַל כָּל יִשְׂרָאֵֽל׃
Howbeit the LORD God of Israel chose me before all the house of my father to be king over Israel for ever: for he hath chosen Judah to be the ruler; and of the house of Judah, the house of my father; and among the sons of my father he liked me to make me king over all Israel:
Sin embargo, el SEÑOR Dios de Israel me escogió de toda la casa de mi padre para ser rey sobre Israel para siempre. Porque escogió a Judá como líder, y en la casa de Judá a la casa de mi padre, y entre los hijos de mi padre se agradó en mí para hacerme rey sobre todo Israel.
