וְאַתָּ֣ה שְׁלֹמֹ֣ה בְנִ֡י דַּע֩ אֶת אֱלֹהֵ֨י אָבִ֤יךָ וְעָבְדֵ֙הוּ֙ בְּלֵ֣ב שָׁלֵ֔ם וּבְנֶ֖פֶשׁ חֲפֵצָ֑ה כִּ֣י כָל לְבָב֣וֹת דּ֗וֹרֵשׁ יְהוָ֛ה וְכָל יֵ֥צֶר מַחֲשָׁב֖וֹת מֵבִ֥ין אִם תִּדְרְשֶׁ֤נּוּ יִמָּצֵ֙א לָ֔ךְ וְאִ֥ם תַּעַזְבֶ֖נּוּ יַזְנִיחֲךָ֥ לָעַֽד׃
And thou, Solomon my son, know thou the God of thy father, and serve him with a perfect heart and with a willing mind: for the LORD searcheth all hearts, and understandeth all the imaginations of the thoughts: if thou seek him, he will be found of thee; but if thou forsake him, he will cast thee off for ever.
Y tú, Salomón hijo mío, conoce al Dios de tu padre y sírvele con corazón íntegro y con ánimo dispuesto, porque el SEÑOR escudriña todos los corazones y entiende todo pensamiento e intención. Si lo buscas, lo encontrarás; pero si lo abandonas, él te rechazará para siempre.
