וְעַתָּ֗ה אָבִי֙ הֶעְמִ֤יס עֲלֵיכֶם֙ עֹ֣ל כָּבֵ֔ד וַ֣אֲנִ֣י אֹסִ֣יף עַ֠ל עֻלְּכֶ֡ם אָבִ֣י יִסַּ֣ר אֶ֣תְכֶם בַּ֠שּׁוֹטִ֡ים וַ֠אֲנִ֡י בָּעַקְרַבִּֽים׃
For whereas my father put a heavy yoke upon you, I will put more to your yoke: my father chastised you with whips, but I will chastise you with scorpions.
Y ahora, puesto que mi padre cargó sobre ustedes un yugo pesado, yo añadiré a su yugo. Mi padre los disciplinó con látigos, pero yo los disciplinaré con escorpiones.
