וַ֠יִּשְׁלַ֡ח יוֹאָ֡שׁ מֶ֠לֶ֠ךְ יִ֠שְׂרָאֵ֡ל אֶ֠ל אֲמַצְיָ֡הוּ מֶ֠לֶ֠ךְ יְהוּדָ֡ה לֵ֠אמֹ֡ר הַ֠חוֹחַ֩ אֲשֶׁ֨ר בַּלְּבָנ֜וֹן שָׁלַ֣ח אֶ֠ל הָ֠אֶ֠רֶז֩ אֲשֶׁ֨ר בַּלְּבָ֤נוֹן לֵ֙אמֹר֙ תְּנָ֣ה אֶ֠ת בִּתְּ֠ךָ֡ לִ֠בְנִ֡י לְ֠אִשָּׁ֡ה וַ֠תַּ֠עֲבֹ֡ר חַיַּ֠ת הַ֠שָּׂ֠דֶ֡ה אֲשֶׁ֣ר בַּלְּבָנ֣וֹן וַ֠תִּרְמֹ֡ס אֶ֠ת הַ֠חוֹֽחַ׃
And Joash king of Israel sent to Amaziah king of Judah, saying, The thistle that was in Lebanon sent to the cedar that was in Lebanon, saying, Give thy daughter to my son to wife: and there passed by a wild beast that was in Lebanon, and trode down the thistle.
Y Joás rey de Israel respondió a Amasías rey de Judá: Un cardo en el Líbano envió a un cedro en el Líbano, diciendo: Da tu hija a mi hijo por esposa, y una bestia salvaje del Líbano pasó y pisoteó el cardo.
