וּשָׁ֨ם הָיָ֣ה נָבִ֣יא לַ֣יהוָ֡ה עֹדֵ֣ד שְׁמ֡וֹ וַ֠יֵּ֡צֵא לִ֠פְנֵ֡י הַ֠צָּ֠בָ֡א הַ֠בָּ֡א לְ֠שֹׁמְר֡וֹן וַ֠יֹּ֡אמֶר לָ֠הֶ֡ם הִנֵּ֡ה בַּ֠חֲמַ֠ת יְהוָ֡ה אֱלֹהֵ֡י אֲבוֹתֵיכֶ֡ם עַ֠ל יְהוּדָ֡ה נְ֠תָנָ֡ם בְּ֠יֶדְכֶ֡ם וַ֠תַּ֠הַרְג֡וּ בָ֠הֶ֡ם בְּ֠זַ֠עַ֡ף עַ֠ד לַ֠שָּׁמַ֡יִם הִגִּֽיעַ׃
But a prophet of the LORD was there, whose name was Oded: and he went out before the host that came to Samaria, and said unto them, Behold, because the LORD God of your fathers was wroth with Judah, he hath delivered them into your hand, and ye have slain them in a rage that reacheth up unto heaven.
Pero allí había un profeta del SEÑOR llamado Oded, y salió al encuentro del ejército que llegaba a Samaria y les dijo: He aquí que, porque el SEÑOR, el Dios de vuestros padres, estaba enojado con Judá, los entregó en vuestra mano; pero vosotros los habéis matado con una furia que ha llegado hasta el cielo.
