וַיֹּ֣אמֶר אֵלַ֗י אַל תִּירָ֤א דָנִיֵּאל֙ כִּ֤י מִן הַיּ֥וֹם הָרִאשׁ֖וֹן אֲשֶׁ֤ר נָתַ֣תָּ אֶת לִבְּךָ֮ לְהָבִ֣ין וּלְהִתְעַנּ֣וֹת לִפְנֵ֣י אֱלֹהֶ֑יךָ נִשְׁמְע֣וּ דְבָרֶ֔יךָ וַאֲנִ֥י בָ֖אתִי בִּדְבָרֶֽיךָ׃
Then said he unto me, Fear not, Daniel: for from the first day that thou didst set thine heart to understand, and to chasten thyself before thy God, thy words were heard, and I am come for thy words.
Entonces me dijo: No temas, Daniel, porque desde el primer día que pusiste tu corazón en entender esto y en humillarte ante tu Dios, tus palabras fueron oídas, y yo he venido a causa de tus palabras.
