כְּעַן֩ הֵ֨ן אִיתֵיכֹ֜ון עֲתִידִ֗ין דִּ֣י בְעִדָּנָ֡א דִּֽי תִשְׁמְעוּן֩ קַ֨ל קַרְנָ֜א מַשְׁרוֹקִיתָ֣א קַתְרֹ֗ס שַׂבְּכָ֧א פְּסַנְתֵּרִ֛ין וְסוּמְפֹּנְיָ֖ה וְכֹ֣ל זְנֵ֣י זְמָרָ֑א תִּפְּל֣וּן וְתִסְגְּד֣וּן לְצַלְמָ֣א דִי עֲבַ֑דְתְּ וְהֵ֣ן לָ֣א תִסְגְּד֣וּן בֵּהּ שַׁעֲתָ֣א תִּתְרְמ֣וֹן לְגֹוא אַתּ֣וּן נוּרָ֡א יָקִֽידְתָּ֡א וּמַ֣ן ה֣וּא אֱלָ֣הּ דִּ֣י יְשֵׁיזְבִנְּכֹ֣ון מִן יְדָ֡י׃
Now if ye be ready that at what time ye hear the sound of the cornet, flute, harp, sackbut, psaltery, and dulcimer, and all kinds of musick, ye fall down and worship the image which I have made; well: but if ye worship not, ye shall be cast the same hour into the midst of a burning fiery furnace; and who is that God that shall deliver you out of my hands?
Ahora bien, si estáis listos, en el momento en que oigáis el sonido de la trompeta, la flauta, la cítara, el salterio, el arpa y la gaita, y toda clase de música, para postraros y adorar la estatua que he hecho, bien. Pero si no la adoráis, seréis arrojados de inmediato a un horno de fuego ardiendo. ¿Y quién es el dios que os librará de mis manos?
