וּמִן בְּנֵ֣י אֲנָשָׁ֡א טְרִ֡יד וְלִבְבֵ֣הּ עִם חֵיוְתָ֡א שַׁוִּ֡יוּ וְעִם עֲרָדַיָּ֡א מְדוֹרֵ֣הּ עִשְׂבָּ֣א כְתוֹרִ֣ין יְטַעֲמוּנֵ֣הּ וּמִטַּ֣ל שְׁמַיָּ֡א גִּשְׁמֵ֣הּ יִצְטַבַּ֡ע עַ֣ד דִּֽי יְדַ֡ע דִּֽי שַׁלִּ֡יט אֱלָהָ֣א עִלָּאָ֡ה בְּמַלְכ֣וּת אֲנָשָׁ֣א וּלְמַ֣ן דִּ֣י יִצְבֵּ֣א יְהָקֵ֣ים עֲלַ֡הּ׃
And he was driven from the sons of men; and his heart was made like the beasts, and his dwelling was with the wild asses: they fed him with grass like oxen, and his body was wet with the dew of heaven; till he knew that the most high God ruled in the kingdom of men, and that he appointeth over it whomsoever he will.
Fue expulsado de entre los hombres, y su mente llegó a ser como la de una bestia, y habitó con los asnos salvajes. Lo alimentaron con hierba como a un buey, y su cuerpo fue mojado por el rocío del cielo, hasta que reconoció que el Dios Altísimo domina sobre el reino de los hombres y pone sobre él a quien quiere.
