אִתְיָֽעַטוּ֩ כֹ֨ל סָרְכֵ֤י מַלְכוּתָא֙ סִגְנַיָּ֣א וַאֲחַשְׁדַּרְפְּנַיָּ֔א הַדָּֽבְרַיָּ֖א וּפַחֲוָתָ֑א לְקַיָּמָ֨ה קְיָ֜ם מַלְכָּ֗א וּלְתַקָּפָ֤ה אֱסָר֙ דִּ֣י כָל דִּי יִבְעֵ֣ה בָעוּ֩ מִן כָּל אֱלָ֤הּ וֶאֱנָשׁ֙ עַד יֹֽומִין֙ תְּלָ֣תִ֔ין לָהֵ֣ן מִנָּ֔ךְ מַלְכָּ֖א יִתְרְמֵ֥א לְגֹ֖וב אַרְיָוָתָֽא׃
All the presidents of the kingdom, the governors, and the princes, the counsellors, and the captains, have consulted together to establish a royal statute, and to make a firm decree, that whosoever shall ask a petition of any God or man for thirty days, save of thee, O king, he shall be cast into the den of lions.
Todos los funcionarios del reino, los prefectos y los sátrapas, los consejeros y los gobernadores, han acordado que el rey establezca un estatuto y decrete una ley firme de que cualquiera que dirija una petición a cualquier dios u hombre durante treinta días, excepto a ti, oh rey, sea arrojado al foso de los leones.
