קַֽדְמָיְתָ֣א כְאַרְיֵ֣ה וְגַפִּ֣ין דִּ֡י נְשַׁ֡ר לַ֡הּ חָזֵ֣ה הֲוֵ֣ית עַ֣ד דִּ֣י מְרִ֣יטוּ גַפַּ֡יְהָ וּנְטִ֣ילַת מִן אַרְעָ֡א וְעַל רַגְלַ֡יִן כֶּאֱנָ֡שׁ הֳקִ֡ימַת וּלְבַ֡ב אֱנָ֡שׁ יְהִ֡יב לַ֡הּ׃
The first was like a lion, and had eagle's wings: I beheld till the wings thereof were plucked, and it was lifted up from the earth, and made stand upon the feet as a man, and a man's heart was given to it.
La primera era como un león y tenía alas de águila. Mientras la observaba, sus alas fueron arrancadas, y fue levantada del suelo y puesta en pie sobre dos pies como un hombre, y se le dio mente de hombre.
