וְשִׁבַּ֤חְתִּי אֲנִי֙ אֶת הַשִּׂמְחָ֔ה אֲשֶׁ֨ר אֵין טּ֤וֹב לָאָדָם֙ תַּ֣חַת הַשֶּׁ֔מֶשׁ כִּ֣י אִם לֶ֔אֱכֹל וְלִשְׁת֖וֹת וְלִשְׂמ֑וֹחַ וְה֗וּא יִלְוֶ֙נּוּ֙ בַּעֲמָל֔וֹ יְמֵ֣י חַיָּ֔יו אֲשֶׁר נָתַן ל֥וֹ הָאֱלֹהִ֖ים תַּ֥חַת הַשָּֽׁמֶשׁ׃
Then I commended mirth, because a man hath no better thing under the sun, than to eat, and to drink, and to be merry: for that shall abide with him of his labour the days of his life, which God giveth him under the sun.
Y encomiendo la alegría, porque no hay nada mejor para el hombre bajo el sol que comer, beber y alegrarse, pues esto le acompañará en su trabajo durante todos los días de vida que Dios le ha dado bajo el sol.
