וּבְהַגִּ֣יעַ תֹּ֣ר אֶסְתֵּ֣ר בַּת אֲבִיחַ֡יִל דֹּד֣ מָרְדֳּכַ֡י אֲשֶׁ֣ר לָקַ֣ח ל֣וֹ לְבַ֡ת לָב֞וֹא אֶל הַמֶּ֗לֶךְ לֹ֤א בִקְשָׁה֙ דָּבָ֔ר כִּ֗י אִם אֶת אֲשֶׁ֤ר יֹאמַר֙ הֵגַ֣י סְרִ֣יס הַמֶּ֔לֶךְ שֹׁמֵ֖ר הַנָּשִׁ֑ים וַתְּהִ֤י אֶסְתֵּר֙ נֹשֵׂ֣את חֵ֔ן בְּעֵינֵ֖י כָּל רֹאֶ֥יהָ׃
Now when the turn of Esther, the daughter of Abihail the uncle of Mordecai, who had taken her for his daughter, was come to go in unto the king, she required nothing but what Hegai the king's chamberlain, the keeper of the women, appointed. And Esther obtained favour in the sight of all them that looked upon her.
Cuando le llegó a Ester, hija de Abihail tío de Mardoqueo, quien la había tomado por hija, el turno de entrar al rey, ninguna cosa solicitó sino lo que dijo Hegai, eunuco del rey, guarda de las mujeres; y Ester ganaba el favor de todos los que la veían.
