וּבְכָל מְדִינָ֣ה וּמְדִינָ֗ה וּבְכָל עִ֤יר וָעִיר֙ מְקוֹם֙ אֲשֶׁ֨ר דְּבַר הַמֶּ֤לֶךְ וְדָת֣וֹ מַגִּ֔יעַ שִׂמְחָ֤ה וְשָׂשׂוֹן֙ לַיְּהוּדִ֔ים מִשְׁתֶּ֖ה וְי֣וֹם ט֑וֹב וְרַבִּ֞ים מֵֽעַמֵּ֤י הָאָ֙רֶץ֙ מִֽתְיַהֲדִ֔ים כִּֽי נָפַ֥ל פַּֽחַד הַיְּהוּדִ֖ים עֲלֵיהֶֽם׃
And in every province, and in every city, whithersoever the king's commandment and his decree came, the Jews had joy and gladness, a feast and a good day. And many of the people of the land became Jews; for the fear of the Jews fell upon them.
Y en cada provincia y en cada ciudad donde llegaba el mandamiento del rey y su decreto, los judíos tenían alegría y gozo, banquete y día de placer. Y muchos de los pueblos de la tierra se hacían judíos, porque el temor de los judíos había caído sobre ellos.
