כְּעַ֡ן הֵן֩ עַל מַלְכָּ֨א טָ֜ב יִתְבַּקַּ֣ר בְּבֵ֣ית גִּנְזַיָּ֣א דִּ֣י מַלְכָּ֡א תַּמָּ֣ה דִּ֣י בְּבָבֶ֡ל הֵ֣ן אִיתַ֡י דִּ֣י מִן כּוֹרֶ֡שׁ מַלְכָּ֡א שִׂ֡ים טְעֵ֡ם לְמִבְנֵ֡א בֵּ֣ית אֱלָהָ֡א דֵּ֡ךְ בִּירוּשְׁלֶ֡ם וּרְעוּת֩ מַלְכָּ֨א עַל דְּנָ֜ה יִשְׁלַ֖ח עֲלֵינָֽא׃
Now therefore, if it seem good to the king, let there be search made in the king's treasure house, which is there at Babylon, whether it be so, that a decree was made of Cyrus the king to build this house of God at Jerusalem, and let the king send his pleasure to us concerning this matter.
Por tanto, si le parece bien al rey, que se haga una búsqueda en los archivos reales allí en Babilonia, para ver si Ciro el rey emitió un decreto para la reconstrucción de esta casa de Dios en Jerusalén. Y que el rey nos haga saber su voluntad en este asunto.
