וַיֹּ֕אמֶר לִפְנֵ֖י אֶחָ֑יו וְחֵ֥יל שֹׁמְר֖וֹן וַיֹּ֗אמֶר מָ֤ה הַיְּהוּדִים֙ הָאֲמֵלָלִ֔ים עֹשִׂ֖ים הֲיַעַזְב֣וּ לָהֶ֑ם הֲיִזְבְּח֗וּ הֲיְכַלּ֛וּ בַּיּ֥וֹם הֲיַחְי֖וּ אֶת הָאֲבָנִ֑ים מֵעֲרֵמ֥וֹת הֶעָפָ֖ר וְהֵ֥מָּה שְׂרוּפֽוֹת׃
And he spake before his brethren and the army of Samaria, and said, What do these feeble Jews? will they fortify themselves? will they sacrifice? will they make an end in a day? will they revive the stones out of the heaps of the rubbish which are burned?
Dijo en presencia de sus hermanos y del ejército de Samaria: ¿Qué están haciendo estos débiles judíos? ¿Lo restaurarán ellos solos? ¿Ofrecerán sacrificios? ¿Terminarán en un día? ¿Harán revivir las piedras de los montones de escombros, siendo que están quemadas?
