וְהֵ֡ם וַאֲבֹתֵ֡ינוּ הֵזִ֡ידוּ וַיַּקְשׁ֡וּ אֶת עָרְפָּ֡ם וְלֹ֡א שָׁמְע֡וּ אֶל מִצְוֺתֶֽיךָ׃
But they and our fathers dealt proudly, and hardened their necks, and hearkened not to thy commandments,
