אֲנִי֙ מְלֵאָ֣ה הָלַ֔כְתִּי וְרֵיקָ֖ם הֱשִׁיבַ֣נִי יְהוָ֑ה לָ֣מָּה תִקְרֶ֤אנָה לִי֙ נָעֳמִ֔י וַיהוָ֥ה עָֽנָה־בִ֖י וְשַׁדַּ֥י הֵ֥רַֽע לִֽי׃
I went out full, and the LORD hath brought me home again empty: why then call ye me Naomi, seeing the LORD hath testified against me, and the Almighty hath afflicted me?
«Yo me fui llena, pero el SEÑOR me ha hecho volver con las manos vacías. ¿Por qué me llamáis Noemí, ya que el SEÑOR ha dado testimonio contra mí, y el Todopoderoso me ha afligido?»
