הַגִּ֣ידָה לִּ֗י שֶׁאָהֲבָ֤ה נַפְשִׁי֙ אֵיכָ֣ה תִרְעֶ֔ה אֵיכָ֣ה תַרְבִּ֔יץ בַּֽצָּהֳרָ֑יִם שַׁלָּמָ֤ה אֶֽהְיֶה֙ כְּעֹ֣טְיָ֔ה עַ֖ל עֶדְרֵ֥י חֲבֵרֶֽיךָ׃
Tell me, O thou whom my soul loveth, where thou feedest, where thou makest thy flock to rest at noon: for why should I be as one that turneth aside by the flocks of thy companions?
Dime, tú a quien ama mi alma, ¿dónde apacientas tu rebaño? ¿Dónde lo haces reposar al mediodía? Pues ¿por qué habré de ser como una que vaga junto a los rebaños de tus compañeros?
