Χριστοῦ οὖν παθόντος ὑπὲρ ἡμῶν σαρκί, καὶ ὑμεῖς τὴν αὐτὴν ἔννοιαν ὁπλίσασθε· ὅτι ὁ παθὼν ἐν σαρκί, πέπαυται ἁμαρτίας·
Forasmuch then as Christ hath suffered for us in the flesh, arm yourselves likewise with the same mind: for he that hath suffered in the flesh hath ceased from sin;
Por tanto, ya que Cristo sufrió en el cuerpo, ármense también ustedes con esa misma actitud, porque el que ha sufrido en el cuerpo ha roto con el pecado.
