Εἰς τοῦτο γὰρ καὶ νεκροῖς εὐηγγελίσθη, ἵνα κριθῶσιν μὲν κατὰ ἀνθρώπους σαρκί, ζῶσιν δὲ κατὰ Θεὸν πνεύματι.
For for this cause was the gospel preached also to them that are dead, that they might be judged according to men in the flesh, but live according to God in the spirit.
Por esto, incluso a los muertos se les predicó el evangelio, para que, aunque juzgados según criterios humanos en cuanto al cuerpo, vivan según Dios en cuanto al espíritu.
