δι' ὧν τὰ τίμια ἡμῖν καὶ μέγιστα ἐπαγγέλματα δεδώρηται, ἵνα διὰ τούτων γένησθε θείας κοινωνοὶ φύσεως, ἀποφυγόντες τῆς ἐν κόσμῳ ἐν ἐπιθυμίᾳ φθορᾶς.
Whereby are given unto us exceeding great and precious promises: that by these ye might be partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world through lust.
Por medio de ellas nos ha dado sus promesas muy grandes y preciosas, para que mediante ellas lleguen a participar de la naturaleza divina, habiendo escapado de la corrupción que hay en el mundo a causa de los malos deseos.
